We decided to do a dessert table with a small cake for us to cut. My FW’s best friend started making macarons a little over a year ago and offered to make them for our wedding when she found out how much we liked them. So we’re going to have apple butter macs and blackberry macs for our fall wedding, as well as a variety of crumb squares from the bakery we’re ordering our cake from.
I’m trying to think of how we’re going to display these items. I’ve seen stands and cake tiers to place them on on Amazon/Etsy but I’m not sure if I’m a fan. Did anyone else do macs as their dessert? How did you display them?
I’m also wondering who should be responsible for putting them out? The bakery we’re getting our cake from is a few hours away from the venue and I believe we’re just going to have a family member drop them in the kitchen fridge at the venue on Friday during rehearsal. The best friend that’s baking the macs is also in the bridal party so she won’t be able to help. I’m also curious when the dessert should go out? Macarons typically need to be kept refrigerated but would probably be okay being out for a bit.
I do like the layered look that dessert tables have on Pinterest with wooden boxes and different heights, textures, etc. BUT, my big concern is how long this would take to put together considering macarons are pretty delicate dessert. I also don’t want it to look just thrown together.
Thank you for the help in advance!
