Delaying Period

Nadinoreo, on July 10, 2017 at 9:32 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 88

Hello! My wedding is this Sunday and my period is usually on time, but I guess it switched up these past few months and now I'm supposed to start my period on the day of my wedding!! There are 5 days left!!!! I have cramps, and I'm scared it's going to start! I don't want to ruin our honeymoon!! I've never taken birth control, and I can't start taking it now since my mother in and father in law will be living with us (ps they hate me so much when I've tried to be the perfect "daughter") and I'm 100% sure I'm going to go insane if I take it now. Can someone help give me ideas?? I know cinnamon will make my period come faster, and I've heard of a morning after pill?? Please help! I'm freaking out!!! Thank you.

Do not take Plan B to try to alter your period.

How do you deal with it any other day?

It's not going to ruin your honeymoon.

There's nothing to do but deal with it at this point.

The amount of stress it's causing you can actually delay your period.

    Don't take plan b.

Not much you can do but deal.

Talk to your doctor and see if anything can be done, although I doubt it at this point. I also really don't understand how your in laws living with you has anything to do with whether or not your on bc.

My sisters and all my friends have told me the first two months of taking birth control I'll be super emotional (I'm already emotional) and it's against my religion to do anything with my hubby while menstruating. I don't want our honeymoon to be sexless tbh hahaha

What do your in-laws have to do with you taking birth control?

I'd get a diva cup asap. That way you don't have to be messing with changing tampons and leakage the day of the wedding or honeymoon.

Talk to your doctor but do not take a Plan B. I don't even know what that would do but considering it is emergency contraceptive, it seems likely it could cause spotting and bleeding. I repeat. Do not do that.

Plan B is an emergency contraceptive, so if you had sex bareback and your partner didn't pull out. It's also not very cheap.

Step one- don't take a medicine you're "super clueless" about

Step two- accept that you have no control over your period without taking birth control, which it is too late for, and apparently you can't take because of your ILs for whatever reason

Why would your period ruin your honeymoon? It's a normal thing for you to have. Wear a tampon or a diva cup. If you're worried about sex, have sex in the shower...the water will wash away the blood so it's not so gross looking.

You can get on the nuvaring, just insert it right when you get it and it'll stop your period. Get an apt with the obgyn fast though. It didn't make me emotional at all so idk what to tell you on that...

Plan B won't change anything at this point. Talk to the doctor. Sometimes stuff comes late, no big deal. Birth control pills take a while to kick in. Good luck living with in laws right after marriage haha

PLEASE SEE A DOCTOR AND STOP GETTING HEALTH ADVICE FROM FRIENDS AND THE INTERNET! Yes, I'm yelling. You seem grossly misinformed about your own body. No you will not necessarily be emotional on bc. Side effects vary widely from person to person, not to mention there are hundreds of different options that everyone reacts to differently. You have two options at this point 1 - have period sex in your hm or 2- don't have sex on your hm.

Ohhhhhh, okay thank you all!!! Plan B sounds like bad news. I meant I'm clueless about birth control and stuff like this. I don't know the effects it will have on my body. And I heard birth control makes you super emotional which is why I don't want to freak out on my ILs!
