Who has hired a decorator for the reception? If you’re willing to share, how much is this costing you?

I hired a decorator that will be a planner for the month of. She's 3,500 plus if we rent items from her or buy them for decor.

My full service planner is also designing and decorating. She’s handling room blocks, all guests travel questions, and confirming their accommodations as well. We are paying her $12,000.

I'm not paying anything for a decorator, because I'm a decorator as my 2nd career. ...I know- "why would I want to decorate my on wedding instead of relaxing and enjoying the day???" ....because I have a particular vision of how I want things and decorating is relaxing and enjoyable to me!!!
Plus, my soon to be husband understands this about me and supports my decision!!!

My venuhe has a day-of coordinator that will be helping our florist and event planner make sure everything gets set up and decorated. My event planner is coming in about 2 weeks before the wedding just to make sure "my vision" is executed the way Ij want... she was a God-send at onky $350

The florist is also the event designer. I got a quote around $2,000 or so which is on the cheaper end of what she does, I’m sure.

I hired a woman and her partner for all of my rentals (linens, table cloths, silverware, wine barrels, vintage couches, photo backdrop, etc.) all set up and tear down, and day of coordination with pre-planning for $1,000. She is a complete steal

We had decorators add up lighting, trees with white lights, ceiling draping with a chandelier and air wall covers and it cost a little over $2,000. The flowers were set up by the florist and the table settings were done by the venue.

Awesome. I just got a bid from a family friend that decorates and coordinates on the side for $1,200. I thought it was a steal too. I never imagined getting a decorator, but I’d like to take that pressure off of my mom.

My venue comes with an event planner that sets everything up. We just give her the stuff and then give her as much or as little direction as we want. I've seen her work and she makes the place look magical. I would recommend if you're trying to relieve some pressure from yourself or others. I've been to and in weddings that people didn't have anyone and had to do it all themselves and it definitely sets a stressful kind of mood.
