Decorations

I am getting married in October. Our theme is a dark enchanted garden (think villain fantasy). I made some cast iron candle sticks and potion bottles as my center piece for a very long farmhouse style table. I was thinking I'd fill the potion bottles with things that resemble the ingredients. Like, love potion mix red food coloring with some water or instant cloud some cotton balls etc.. What do you think a good kid could be for these bottles. I don't have lids for all of them and not sure what works best as they all have different sized openings. Should I fill them or leave them empty? Maybe only fill part of them? I have 31 different potion bottles
