How far out did you start making your centerpieces and decorations?

I started acquiring items about a year out thanks to holiday sales. Then a couple of weeks ago I would start putting it all together based on time or weather.

I didn't quite know exactly how things were going to look but I had an idea so I started buying pieces here and there. We only had a 13 month engagement so I started as soon as we picked a venue, colors and theme. I'd say close to a year out. It probably would've been fine to wait but I don't like to feel rushed and end up with something I don't entirely like because I ran out of time. I say if you know what you're planning on doing and it's not overly complicated, you've got plenty of time.

I should probably start soon. I told myself I was gonna do a ton of it this summer. Now I'm looking at the end of summer and... not much done. 8 months to go. I need to get on it.

I started about 6 months out, now it’s getting everything together. I’m a few days away from 2 months 😬🥰

I started about a year out - I had a ton of paper flowers to make and plenty of room to store them, so I just tried to knock out as much as I could once we had colors and such nailed down.

We started around a year out. We are having ceramic birds on each table so we collected all of those and have that decoration done. We are also having a long King's table with the wedding party and family and it will have a long garland of magnolia's and magnolia leaves running down the center length of the table so we bought most of those as well. We are trying to buy everything in advance to offset the last minute cost of things closer to the actual day.

I've been buying things for the last few months. My wedding is in 2.5 months and the oast few weeks I've buckled down and had serious DIY days. I know I'll still have last minute things to do the week of but I want most all things done ahead of time.

I started getting some of the decorations and picked flowers but I am waiting to see how many tables we are going to have roughly before I start working on center pieces.

I did about as soon as I knew what I wanted, but I'm doing faux flowers so I also took advantage of sales during spring season sale events

    I'm getting married Nov, 8 2020.

I kept going back and forth with ideas, but this weekend I finalized the linens and table settings, and then it all became clear what I wanted to do. So I started last night. I know I'm way early but I am a planner and we have a crazy work schedule, and this next year is going to be slammed for us, so I say if you have the storage, knock em out.
