Hi!! Odd question, but I thought you all might have some creative ideas for me! We are doing a destination elopement in a remote area of Alaska, so not a ton of options for shopping once we get there. We will be staying at an Air BnB for our honeymoon suite. Do you have any decoration ideas for the honeymoon suite for the night of our wedding? I'm struggling to come up with ideas as I will have to fly with whatever I purchase to decorate. Just thought I would do something nice to surprise my fiance, but I need help with ideas! Thank you! ☺️

The only decoration your new hubby is going to want to be surprised with is you. Maybe only wearing a bow?

Can you find a service or artistic person to gather the decorations and set them up before you get there? Maybe UPS or a local company could let you send packages and them hold those until you get there

You could buy a package of fake rose petals, flameless candles, and a banner! Those should all be easy to travel with, especially if checking a bag.

Honestly, I wouldn’t even worry about this. You are going to be so busy that you probably won’t even have time to decorate. And while women appreciate these gestures, these things usually go unnoticed and/or unappreciated by men. If you want to surprise him with something, maybe arrange for the hotel to set up champagne and desserts in your room. Or a bottle of his favorite liquor. Or maybe wear some sexy new lingerie.

So you want to decorate yourselves? Usually it is other people that decorate the suite and even then, it is really intended to be a surprise and not something you are expecting. No offense, but unless you are doing it to surprise you husband, I don't really see the point.

Thanks for your input! ☺️ We will be in remote Alaska at an Air BnB. It is something that my fiance had mentioned he would really like and I am actually going to be staying at the Air BNB alone the night before the wedding, so I thought I might surprise him since I would have time to decorate! 🙂

I'm doing a banner that says "Mr. & Mrs." And decor of the same nature. Like a ring dish with "Mr. & Mrs," hand towels, a throw pillow with a heart, "Mr. & Mrs" pillowcases, & mugs. Simple and romantic.

Lisa's honeymoon pictures at a resort show some of the simple decorations with food that was done. I don't know if I would go with the coffee beans idea but you could do something with chocolate candies. haha.

Maybe get some bedtime outfit for him too. Not sure what to recommend though. Maybe Latin dance theme or something you would like to see him in.

Maybe fake rose petals on the bed. Most likely he won’t notice as much and be mostly interested in you as a gift.
