Decor under $1000

Ms2MRS, on October 23, 2016 at 7:50 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 32

After speaking with ny FH today we will have to cut our wedding budget down. We have 22 tables and I cant seem to find any cheaper centerpiece ideas that would work for 72" round tables.Today has really been an emotional day and I'm hoping there's sunshine and laughter..

What kind of centerpieces are you going for? I believe there are plenty of budget-friendly centerpiece ideas out there.

22 72" tables? That's a lot of people. You'll save more money cutting one table of guests than saving a few dollars on centerpieces. I know it's hard to do though.

Sorry today has been hard on you!

We did something very simple. The table number, a vase with fake hydrangea and floating candles, and our program/menus in the middle. For 9 tables, it ended up being less than $200. My sister found the table numbers at Home Goods, she got the paper from a local stationery shop and printed them, and I got the vases, flowers, and candles from Michael's. You may not be able to have anything elaborate, but you could dress something like this up a little more. You could honestly probably get the vases somewhere cheaper than what I paid. You could do multiple on one table and even put them on a decorative platter. Spend some time wandering around craft stores to get ideas.

Different size white candles in holders always look classic, and you can find them relatively inexpensive...

I don't remember how much the taller vases were but I used the 8.75" vases and paid $3.99 for each one (I still have the receipt). I'm sure you can find them cheaper somewhere else. I had 6' round tables also if that gives you a better visual idea of how much space you'll have to work with.

I spent about $10 on each centerpiece. Lace covered antique books, glittered votives, & reused our bouquets for half the tables to sit on the books. The other half had 4x6 engagement photo on the books.

I plan to do these, and by my estimate, these can cost as low as $30/table.

Look at home goods/TJ Maxx for vases, they are super cheap $3-$7 a piece. Dollar Tree is always a good choice too!

Dollar tree has 9" and 7" inch vases for $1 each. You can order in bulk online and they deliver to store for free. I'm doing something similar to Keri but with 3 vases per table and it'll cost ~$250 for 12 tables.

All the other supplies (candles, fake flowers, 3rd vase) I'm getting from Amazon and Hobby lobby.

You have time so you can start buying a little at a time. I literally go to Hobby Lobby a least once a week.

Also Plan on selling most of the decor post wedding to recoup some money.

For fresh flowers check out sam club and costco if you're up for DIY

Also check facebook wedding groups for people getting rid of stuff from their wedding. Most of the time you can get good deals on nice stuff.

Does your venue offer anything? Our venue offers tall vases with flowers for $20 each.

Any DIY will be less expensive.

22 tables...that's a lot of guests. The easiest way to cut your budget is to cut the guest list, not centerpieces...

Dollar tree vases in different sizes, water and some candles and you have a centerpiece. Non flower centerpiece should help with the cost.

Dollar Tree has several different height cylinder vases and you can buy them by the case. You could do floating candles in them (which they also have) or silk flowers or many different things. Smiley smile

I know who you feel , I had 22 tables for my dinner reception, and then another 30 for my after party ..so what I decided to do was I did make my own for the church reception for that with sitting on a gold mirrors I found at dollar general and added votive candles around it.
