I know there is such thing as this, but this is causing so much stress. It is overwhelming me to the fullest. When Fh and I met we did a lot of things together and he put most things on his credit card. Once we started thinking about our future and marriage we slowed down and cut back a lot. His dad was really upset when he found out he had credit card debt. I also had cc debt too and have student loans and a car to pay off, but his dad is always involved in his money and I get he wants to make sure FH does things right, but sometimes he is very invasive especially having access to view his debit card account. I just get very overwhelmed with the whole financial situation. I feel like a lot is put on me all the time and I am just thinking that maybe a debt free marriage is impossible for us.

Not knowing what to do and how to handle this Smiley sad

I appreciate all of your guy's feedback honestly. I think his parents put so much fear in FH to where it instills fear in me too. He told me he wants to go this weekend and just open up his own bank account and possibly take the Financial Peace University courses. There is no reason why FH should not take care of his bills and learn to manage his own money instead of having his dad do it all for him. I still think that the spreadsheet I made will still work to help all the crazy mess stuff but once it dies down. He wont even really need to be stressed out by it much.

Are his parents helping him pay off the credit card debt? Otherwise I'm not getting why they need access to them.

Just yesterday his dad offered to pay off his largest credit card, which was VERY GENEROUS of him and FH would just need to pay him back over 5 months interest free. His dad would be taking it from his account every month. I told FH he better appreciate his dad is doing this for him and is able to AND learn his lesson with spending. His dad sent a really long email to FH explaining how I would not put up with the baby sitting stuff for so long( fact I have never told him anything how I personally felt so I assume he can tell im stressed out with FH cc stuff).
