Dealing with anxiety (cbd oil/hemp oil?)

Mrs. C, on March 29, 2019 at 2:01 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 17

So my friend recently told me she has BAD anxiety attacks and while talking with her and her asking how the wedding planning was going and how stressed and anxious I was she recommended I try this oil. She says she takes a few drops under her tongue a few times a day and it has really helped her. She is my "equestrian" friend and has even used it safely on her horses who are more nervous. I am thinking about trying it out as the wedding approaches and my nerves keep getting more and more shot. I am 35 days out and about to lose my freaking mind! I can't imagine how I will be the week or day of which is why I am wondering if any of you all have tried this to help with anxiety?

Thanks in advance!

My mom keeps telling me to use CBD oil to help with my anxiety... she has had sleep problems for decades, and says taking it every day has helped her sleep significantly better

I have been using CBD oil to help manage my anxiety(not wedding related) and sleep for the last 6 months. It took a few weeks for me to really notice a difference so I don’t know how much it would help if you’re within a month of your wedding by the time you start.

I’ve tried it and I found it to help but it’s just so dang expensive for a little bottle. I switched over to meditation/ yoga. If you have the money I say give it a shot and see if it works for you.

I haven’t used it but I know few people who say it works great mostly for sleep problems, pain management & calming.
From your post it sounds like anxiety you’re expereincing is above normal wedding stress. I would talk to my doctor about it. They can recommend therapy or appropriate supplements/medications that could help. Also meditation & any type of physical exercise are great for lowering anxiety. Hope you feel better soon!

I live in Colorado, so anything THC/Hemp/CBD is super common. I've tried CBD, not a fan (didn't help me at all for body pain or headaches). I tried smoking for migraines, didn't help at all. But I've heard from some people it has helped! My brother suffers from anxiety, and what helps him is extreme exercise. I read an article about it, and I guess the correlation is when you get anxiety your heart beats fast & you are breathing heavy, etc. So when you workout hard and trigger those same reactions, your body starts to associate them with a positive thing (working out) rather than anxiety.

I think you should give it a shot. I know a lot of people it works wonders for. I also work with animals and we have a lot of clients that even use it for their anxious pets! I also like what FutureMrsD said about the exercise. I think if there’s a way to avoid to taking something it’s worth a shot. And she’s right about the exercise kind of getting your heart beat to not freak you out. I remember when I first started exercising I would get scared because my heart would beat fast and I did always associate that with panic attacks. Sweat is also a good way to release cortisol ( I think that’s what it’s called) anyway your post was about the CBD and I think it’s definitely worth a shot along with some anxiety management techniques. Good luck!

I'm from Seattle, so the weed business is huge here (as well as our wellness hippies). I love CBD oil... I never knew I had all this anxiety until i tried it and I was just very calm. Highly recommend it!

I have never tried it but have heard that it helps. I do not think it works immediately though so being a month-ish out, you may not notice much of a difference but I surely don't see the harm and giving it a try. Everyone is different and you really won't know if it helps until you try it. Good luck!

I have not heard of that. I am by nature a nervous person myself. And this wedding is doing a number on me too. I am so sorry to hear this. I will pray for you.

I have not tried it but I get severe anxiety attacks. As a previous poster mentioned intense workouts are fantastic for my anxiety. I attend Zumba or high intensity classes and notice a tremendous difference. Good luck!

I actually use schisandra berry extract/pills and it works really well for me. I metabolize it quickly, though, so I typically need to take a fairly heavy dose (*extreme* anxiety and week-long panic attacks over here) every four hours.

I have used CBD oil before. I have a nerve condition that affects the nerves in my face that are directly connected to my brain. My nerves and blood vessels are too close together or are touching causing them to become inflamed and give me migraines and headaches that run from my neck, jaw, ear, face, head, you name it lol. Its painful. I am on a medication twice a day to help control it but I still get flair ups and Tylenol ect. does not help. I was using CBD oil ( a low dose) it worked for a little while. When I finished the bottle I switched to a vape pen thingy ( I know nothing about them lol FH told me to try it and hooked me up) I tried a higher dose and got a yummy flavor and it works amazing! I also have anxiety but its not too bad, along with helping my condition it seems to calm me. I would try it and see how it does for you.

I haven't tried this, but my mother has. It's helped her out but not as good as most of her friends because my mom has fibro so her body is more resilient to certain meds.

I use: Remedy Drops on my very anxiety filled dog and they are truly amazing! I now make him dog treats with them. The manufactureer makes a version for humans, and I've heard it works great!

Try Tulsi Teas, there are a ton of different types and they all serve different functions, but they all have Tulsi and they all relieve stress. Also try ashwagandha and/or maca in a smoothie. I use those pretty regularly

My brother vapes CBD oils. Noticed nothing wrong with it. You can read more on vapingdaily.com. I've chosen him a new vape pen from their reviews. But I think you should definitely consult your doctor.
