Dedicated January 2020

Day of timeline

Amina, on September 30, 2019 at 8:17 AM Posted in Planning 0 3
Trying to start putting together a day of timeline and no idea where to start? I’m getting my makeup professionally done and my FH’s sister is doing my hair. Makeup will probably take about 1-1.5 hours and hair about an hour. My mom is getting her makeup/hair professionally done and my sister is getting her makeup done. Everyone else is doing their own. The ceremony is set to start at 5:30 and the reception ends at 11. Everything is all in the hotel we’re getting ready at. My first question would be when to ask the photographer to come. We get 8 hours total, so we can do 2-10 or 3-11. Also 2-11 if we pay an additional hour. Would it be enough time before the ceremony for the bridesmaids/ groomsmen to get pictures taken before the ceremony if the photographers get there at 3. To give a little insight there are 10 BM and 11 GM, and no first look. With the photographer arrival time, what time should I suggest BM’s get to the venue to start getting ready to be ready for pictures? Help!

I think photos at 3 would give plenty of time for the pre-wedding photos you're describing. What time to have your girls arrive would depend on how long you think they'll take to get ready doing their own hair & makeup (also how many mirrors/outlets for hair styling tools are available at a time). Just to be safe though, I would tell everyone to be ready by 2:30 that way you have that 30 minute buffer in case someone runs behind or something doesn't turn out just right and they need to fix it.

I think if you do 3-11 that would be fine ! 2-10 would work too depending on if you want a grand exit or not

    Hey Amina!

I certainly think that 2-10 would work out great to get all of your photos in before your ceremony. Do you want photos of a grand exit?

Your arrival time for your BMs will totally depend on how long you think they will take, but I would definitely recommend giving extra time for this as everyone will be chatting and excited and may not start immediately into getting ready!
