First step. Breathe. You have awhile before the wedding if the date is correct. You don't need to do your day of timeline until like 2 months out. Also, all my vendors really helped with that. With input from the venue, the photographer, and the DJ I was able to put together my timeline no problem. For ceremony and reception, are you doing a cocktail hour? We had to move my ceremony inside due to the extreme heat day of, so the room was set up for the ceremony and then when guests were at the cocktail hour in a separate part of the building, the staff flipped the room from ceremony to reception. Another option is to have 1 side of the room ceremony and the other side reception if possible. Some couples will also do the ceremony in a reception set up (so everyone is in their regular seats at the tables), but that one is kind of awkward because some people will likely have a bad view. I would speak with your venue. If they have hosted weddings there before, they will be able to tell you how other couples have managed it in the past.

We had a 3pm ceremony. Hair and makeup was from 8-1 and then last minute details and pictures before 3. 3:30 cocktail hour and photos, 4:30 special dances and dinner, 5:30 toasts, 5:45 dancing, 6:45 cake, 8:00 sparklers. You’re going to need someone or a team whose only job is to set up from 10-2. I wouldn’t count on being able to do it yourself that close to the ceremony.

Is it in your budget to hire a coordinator? It would definitely make your day go much smoother. If not, gather your army of friends & family. Come up with a very detailed list of everything that needs to be done the day of. Give one sole person the "job" of being the coordinator. They will be in charge of having that master list of tasks, for each person who is helping to do. Have the coordinator assign the task to each person accordingly.

Best wishes girl!! I hope everything goes smooth.

If you have the money a day of coordinator would so be worth it! However if you dont, what worked for my cousin is she "hired" some highschool kids that she kinda knows from our youngest cousin being friends with them. Gave each a 20 and had one of her organized artistic friends "supervise". When it was done they facetimed to confirm it was good. It took less then an hour with 5 ppl working at it to set everything up. I believe she also did this to break everything down to.

Our day of timeline was put together by our vendors. Once you get closer to your wedding date, your vendors will begin discussing the timeline with you. This will guide you with any additional planning you need to do with set up.

Try and hire a day of coordinator. It may seem like an added expense, which it is, but it will be worth its weight in gold to have the day run smoothly, make sure they stay on track with the order of events, and the set up
