Day of Timeline?

Krys, on March 9, 2020 at 5:02 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

I'm struggling with figuring out a timeline. We have 8 hours at our venue; 2-10pm. We will have our hair and makeup done when we arrive on site at 2. We'll have last call at 8:30 so we can have all guests out by 9:30 giving them 30 mins at least to clean up. We are taking first look and bridal party pictures before the ceremony and just doing family pictures between ceremony and reception. Is starting ceremony at 5 and doing last call at 8:30 enough time?

If you start ceremony at 5 estimate done by 530
And reception to begin at 6-630 which only gives you 2-2 1/2 hours - that doesn’t seem like a lot of time for an evening reception. Receptions - 1 hour and Dinner should be a 2 hrs a total minimum of 3 - 3 1/2 hours

Most people who are big partiers will be invited to "after party" at our cabins. I have scheduled dinner at 6:15 and send off at 9. That leaves an hour for dinner and dessert and almost 2 for dancing, plus it's on a sunday so i don't want to make it too late for those who have to work next day. Should I make it start earlier?

That sounds good, with it on a Sunday it should help with getting most to scoot sooner rather than later

We plan on starting the reception at 5:30 while we do family pics. First dance at 6. Dinner right after. 6:50 toasts, then dessert, followed by dancing. I plan on having almost 1.5 hours between dessert ending and our send off.
