Day Of Coordinator

For those of you who have hired or are considering a day of coordinator, what are you spending (roughly)? I am considering it, but don't know if I want to spend the $$$$ for one.

Spending $400 because I had done a lot of the planning and decor on my own, so she created a custom package for set up and tear down on the day of. Definitely ask if you can do that too, because often you won't need everything offered in a package.

We're in VA and spending 1000 for a month of coordinator. I think they're definitely worth the investment!

Definitely hard finding someone reasonably priced and under 1,200 but finally found someone for 800 for day of and will help with questions along the way via call or text! I’m in SoCal!

Day or coordinators in my area range anywhere from $1500-$2200 & with my fiancé and I paying for our wedding completely on our own that was out of our budget. I opted to be my own “coordinator” and asked my FH aunt if she be the day of coordinator. I put together a file for her with everything she needs to know and answers to any questions my venues and vendors might ask. I included our lineup, floor charts, decor list/placement, how I would like the food placed (we aren’t having a caterer) & so on and so fourth. I gave it to her about a month ago and she’s been studying it hard ever since. I’m confident things will run just as smoothly as if we had spent the extra money for a professional. My wedding day designed by me and me entirely, which is exactly what I want. But one thing about not having a day of coordinator that I’ve noticed is that venues & vendors tend to treat you a bit differently which is sad in itself but it won’t matter in 5 years time so I try not to dwell 🤍

If you don’t mind me asking, could you send me the details of this coordinator? Thank you!

I had a partial planner, but researched many planners who were in between partial and day-of. They will work with the couple 4-6 weeks before and day of your event. You may find this a reasonable investment even though you may have to catch him/her up to what you have already done. Zoom meetings really make the days efficient. Good luck.
