I used to work at DB and my manager told us that the date that the computer gives is the ABSOLUTE LATEST date. 90% of the time, the dress comes in sooner than that date listed.

ETA: I would deff NOT go based off of a sample that the dress fits perfect and doesn't need ANY alts. Remember: those dresses are tried on often and more than likely stretched out, pulled on, etc.

And just a comment in general-- if you order a Vera Wang dress in a DB color, chances are it will take a long time to come in and the date that is given in this situation is probably accurate

Also, any weddings prior to yours that have an order for the same dress in that color and size will get priority over yours, and extra length and petite dresses are cut to order

It all depends on the dress and color I think. My bridesmaids ordered in November and all of them have received their dresses besides my sister. My sister was the only one to order from the Vera Wang collection so I think that could have something to do with it. - like AshMar mentioned

My dress was supposed to take a month, but arrived in less than a week. My BM dresses were supposed to take 8 weeks, and came in less than two with a local snowstorm!

I was a bridesmaid - also in horizon - in August. I ordered a few months ahead from DB and it came in a week.

It depends on where you live. I ordered my dress and she told me it would it in within a month...well 3 days later they called and said it was in!

My dress came from a warehouse in the Philly suburbs (where I live) so it was super quick!

Oh yeah, the time lines are very exaggerated. Ex: I ordered my wedding dress in October and they told me to pick up end of January... well I had my dress in my hands in a matter of 3 weeks.

Same with my BMs. They were told it would take 3 months but the dresses arrived 10 days later.

My girls just ordered their dresses last week, different dresses same color. They were all told March for when to expect them.

I got Horizon dresses with chiffon material as well. The dresses came in really fast. My girls got their dresses within 1 or 2 weeks after they ordered them.

Thank you so much for the help ladies!!! I definitely won't hope for anything sooner and I'll make sure the girls order dresses that say they'll come in enough time for alts just in case.

I didn't consider the extra length aspect. 2 girls got extra length. One got long and will have it hemmed to tea length. Not sure about the final girl yet. I think her and I will go next week.
