Davids Bridal- Do I need an apointment to try on bras and accessories?

SummerBride, on October 16, 2010 at 6:38 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

So I need to go get one of those long-line bras from Davids Bridal as well as try on and look at accessories. Does anyone know if you need an appointment to do that or can you just walk in to try them on? I don't think I'd need a consultant or anything, but I wasn't sure how that worked.

You will need a consultant, because they hide all that stuff off the floor, because they work on commission. I was reduced to standing in the middle of the sales floor glaring at the ceiling in a nearly empty DB on a week night before someone actually deigned to come help me find a longline bra. :-/

It's best to call ahead so they can book you in.

I've just 'showed up' before and the girls were great about working me in.

Its best to call ahead but if you don't they really do try hard to work with you and normally they are able to

I'd call ahead just to make sure you have someone. You can drop in, but if it is a busy location, they may not have any available to help you.

Like so many things with DB, this is probably very location-dependent. My experience was that even with virtually no one in the store, I had a hard time getting helped. As I said, the consultants work on commission; in some locations, at least, this translates into no one wanting to bother with people who aren't spending much. We definitely got the cold shoulder on our first trip, when I explained that I just wanted a BM dress and not a wedding gown.

It is best to call and make an appointment so you will have someone to help you when you get there. If you decide to just pop in because your in the neighborhood, be sure to do it during a weekday as most do not have many clients coming in between 10 and 5 and you can get the attention you need if you have any questions.

Maybe that is why I always get good assistance whenever I go there-they know I spent good money and have made a lot of extra purchases....hmm,nice to know I'm wanted for my money, lol.

Doesn't hurt to make an appointment or at least call ahead.
