Davids bridal back to back appointments

Sarah, on July 20, 2020 at 1:28 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10
So recently I saw someone post about David's bridal telling them they could only try on 5 dresses at the appointment, I called the location that I am having my appointment at next month and they said the same thing. I explained this was problematic I don't live right down the street and can't exactly just keep coming back. At first they suggested I go online to find what I liked, so I explained to them I have but I have never tried on a wedding dress and the last time I wore a dress of any kind was ten years ago at prom lol. I had a child and have gained weight since then So I don't even know what kind of silhouette would work on me. She allowed me to make a back to back appointment so I have 2 slots next to each other and am allowed to try on 10 dresses instead of 5. I just wanted to share this in case theres any other brides on here that come across this issue.

Wow I didn't know that rule. I'm glad I went to a smaller botique where they let me try on 8 dresses (and one twice). It was surprisingly affordable too

I would suggest also booking an appointment at a local bridal boutique. They typically offer longer appointment times, no limit try on's, and do not rush you! I went to 3 different bridal boutiques and tried on between 5-10 dresses during each of my appointments. My appointment times were also 1.5 hours long (one went a little longer with no issue). You will not get that type of individual service as DB. Just something to keep in mind.

I went to David’s Bridal and they wouldn’t even listen to what I liked. They picked out 5 dresses for me to try and then my time was up! I would never recommend them to anyone again! I ended up going to a small boutique and was able to try on as many as I liked! And wasn’t rushed either!

Yeah I'm not a fan of David's Bridal. I feel like they lack in customer service and providing the bridal experience. It could just be the locations where I'm located, but one of them closed down and I'm not surprised. I went to a local boutique and they let me try on as many dresses as needed to. I know some people choose David's Bridal because it's more affordable, but you'd be surprised at how affordable some these boutiques are. Definitely keep you options open. But I'm glad you will be able to get more out of your appointment.

That sucks. I'm also trying a few small boutiques closer to home, but they are wayy pricier than davids.

I think it varys by the location, and I'm hoping mine will be good. I've heard so many people have bad experiences there but I've heard of some good ones as well. I am going to smaller boutiques too, but the one near me everythings like 2 or 3 times the price so I know I have a lot of looking around to do. I'm not worried yet though I still have some time lol.

Not every David's Bridal location is terrible, just like every small bridal boutique isn't wonderful. I had very attentive and individual service when I went to David's Bridal. My salesperson was extremely attentive. Showed me many different options (9) in different silhouettes, tried on a few (4) of the dresses more than once. I also went this past weekend with a friend of mine to a different DB location and she had great service as well. There were not many people in the store at her appointment time. She tried on 8 dresses and 2 of the dresses she tried on more than once. Just because DB is a chain store and lower priced doesn't mean that you can't have a good experience.

This is closer to my experience at David's Bridal. Nobody ever gave me a limit on the number of dresses I could try on.

My appointment was 90 minutes long, and I was allowed to try on as many dresses as I wanted. I had some in mind (from the website), so I started with those. In all, I tried on like 12 or 13 before I decided on "the one."

Customer service was amazing, my consultant made me feel beautiful and not rushed at all!!

I think your experience will depend on your location. I went to DB in Pinole, California!

Sorry that really sucks. I ended up cancelling my appointment at Davids. I fell in love with a dress at a boutique near me. The experience was amazing. The women were really attentive and listened to what I wanted.
