I'm wondering if someone can describe how their appointment went at David's Bridal. Did the stylist go in the dressing room with you? Did they stay with you the entire time or wander off? Did they pull dresses for you too, or just used the dresses you pulled yourself? Did they provide shapewear for...

Did they pull dresses for you too, or just used the dresses you pulled yourself? Did they provide shapewear for you to wear if need be? TIA Smiley smile

My consultant asked for my price range, what I knew I wanted/did not want, then brought me to a section of the showroom to see which dresses I liked on first site to give her an idea of what to start with. I started with I think 3 dresses, but because their changing rooms were small I was the only one in there until I needed to be laced/zipped up. My mom ended up helping me in and out of dresses more than the consultant, but that's because my mom was having fun with it!

If you have one, definitely wear a strapless bra and decent undies, no period panties!!!!! And I was told not to worry about bringing shoes, but I wish I did just to give me a better idea of how the dresses were to walk in. And don't be afraid to do sit tests in dresses you like!! Comfort was a big thing for me, and if I can't sit comfortably on my wedding day we're gonna have a problem

Altough I didn't buy my dress tgere, I had an amazing experience at DB in Yonkers, Ny. The consultant provided me a shapewear and shoes. She went in the dressing room with me to assist on putting the dresses. She listened to my feedback and pulled out dresses that she thinks fits my descriptions and thinks that would look good on me. She was not pushy but also gave feedback. She only wandered off to get more dresses and accessories. I felt special that day Smiley smile

I went to my first DB appointment this past Friday, after Thanksgiving. I had one stylist who didn't help anyone else but me. She helped me into the bra they provided that went all the way down to my hips, then left me alone to put the slip on. She came back with a bunch of dresses me and my girls picked out, and some dresses I favored on my account. She helped me into every single one of them and stayed with me the entire time, unless I was talking to my girls and she went to go grab more dresses/veils. I had an awesome experience and I feel bad that I won't be getting the last dress I tried on that everyone loved, because my heart is set on another dress that they just don't carry. I had a fantastic experience and I loved Toni at DB in Lawerenceville, NJ,

I just went to DB yesterday for my bridesmaid dress appointment. My bridesmaid ended up sick so she couldn't make it at the last second told me and I was ten mins away. So I was just going to look at the colors I had gotten in swatches on a full time dress and a few dresses on the styles I liked on the rack. The DB person happened to be the same size as one of my bridesmaids and was wonderful. She tried on 9 different dresses for me so I was able to narrow my dresses down to 4. And took pictures for my girls and the two color choices. Which I've been able to choose my final dress all with out my bridesmaid actually being there thanks to her.

Worst experience out of my entire dress shopping experience. They didn't help pick anything out. The girl was incredibly nervous and flighty. Your not in a private area. The dressing room is so small you can't even get into the dress and she didn't help me either. She didn't offer suggestions and kept wandering off. Plus the quality was terrible for the price of their higher end dresses. If you have another option, take it!!

I went on a weekend to one in Burlington, WA. I showed the girl what I want. She brought back some that I told her right away no thanks to. They were all beaded which I had told her I didn't like. I got into the bra and skirt and was super uncomfortable in them and I knew I wouldn't be wearing one on the day, so I felt like it was pointless to try dresses on with them. I tried on a few that I thought were okay. None of the people I was with were thrilled by them and I wasn't either. Eventually the slip and bra were so uncomfortable that I told her I was taking them off. She tried to get me to keep them on but I said no thank you and took them off. I tried the rest of the dresses on in just my thong and I kid you not, the girl wouldn't even look at me haha I could not help but laugh. I'm not a shy person though so who knows. She continued to bring me dresses that were opposite what I wanted and when my aunt tried to go over (again) with the girl, the girl replies "I know what she wants, I was there too when she said". I said nope, please help me out of this dress, we are leaving. She was extremely rude.

I ended up at a tiny, tiny, mother, daughter boutique and found my perfect dress right off the rack!

I DO NOT LIKE David's Bridal....I went to go look for my 2nd dress cause I wanted something lighter and cheaper. I showed her my dress (sweetheart neckline) and told her I wanted something like that but sexy. I also informed her that I DON'T LIKE FLOWERS ON A DRESS.

LONG story short, she brought all these dresses with flowers, flowers with sleeves and all the dresses I didn't like. 😐 I guess listening was not a requirement for the job!
