I'm just wondering if anybody has experience with alterations at davids bridal. I'm wanting to know if I should go to smaller shop or davids bridal. My dress needs the whole top part redone. Thank you for opinions

Also, that was for pads in bust, taking in sides and back, hem, and bustle

I also had my alterations done through DB only because thats where I purchased my dress. Alterations for me were about $500. I lost weight so I had to take in my dress 2 sizes, have the hem shortened and the bustle is what really cost because of all the layers of tuille.

I have an appointment in July to have my alterations done at DB. All I am needing is bustle and a hem.

@FutureMrsBurroughs same for me! July is my first apt and I need quite a bit of hem done and bustle. I'm nervous it is going to be insanely priced.

Go somewhere else. My dress is covered in snags. I had a beautiful long train and they managed to cut most of it off which completely ruined the bustle because now the top layer is too short. My dress has several different layers and they’re all different lengths. My entire experience with them has been one disappointment after another.

With excitement you go to David's Bridal and the workers all seem so happy for you, BUT, they are not sensitive, while dress prices are up and down weekly, alterations charges are way INFLATED. I truly feel its set up to get more $$. I brought a dress (1 size bigger) because they didn't my size. The sales lady said we can have it altered ; (which I am pretty sure she knew that it was going to be costly from the get go) Got my dress and the alterations cost more than the dress!!! i was so perturbed AND the dress will not be until until the next 3 weeks, giving me 1 week before the wedding that its PERFECT for that PRICE!! TRUST ME I will not be shopping or recommending David's Bridal to anyone!!
