David's Bridal $99 gown experience? Was it actually $99?

Amanda, on August 11, 2017 at 11:13 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13

I'm looking into getting a second dress and I wanted something tight and fitting. I found a beautiful dress on David's Bridal for the $99 gown sale. The dress is for the reception and leaving. How was your experience? Was the dress actually $99? Was the quality good?

Also should I make an appointment or can I just walk in to try one dress on.

Yes they are really 99.00 but they are dresses off the rack. Depends on how many other people have tried them on

I haven't gone to DB, but I know to pick/order a bridesmaid dress my sister needed an appointment. I would call to make one.

Does off the rack mean they are samples that others have tried on or just take as is?

I got one of their $99 dresses as my prom dress. It was gorgeous but I wouldn't have picked that particular dress for a wedding like it was intended. I think it depends what the store has in stock as well.

Make an appointment, they made me wait an hour and a half between an appointment between me and my MOH because I thought i was the only one who would be trying on dresses. Off the rack means others have tried it on but you take it home that very day, so you'll have time to fix any stains or rips and get it altered Smiley smile

@Amanda s yes ma'am. off the rack means that. The 99.00 ones are usually discontinued so they getting rid of in stock items.

So as a DB bridal consultant, yes they truly are $99. You just pay sales taxes on that obviously.

With the $99 dresses, you are buying the dress right off the rack. None of their dresses are technically samples since you can buy anything right off the rack to begin with.

With the $99 dresses, not all stores have every dress on sale for $99 and normally the stock and sizes are very limited. When this current $99 sale started, my store only had 27 dresses TOTAL. And that's a mixture of sizes 0-25 and styles. Your best bet would be to call the locations near you, and ask them if they have that particular style number in your size. Chances are, the probably don't. My store didn't have that dress

I had the same question and was told by a few women who went to David's Bridal that you can tell they're $99 dresses, so it's personal preference.

I would definitely make an appointment, tho. That way, the consultant is dedicated to you for the appointment time.
