Dates for decorations??

My fiance and I are eloping privately this November. However, our parents are throwing us a celebration of marriage reception in December. For any other brides who've done this, what date did you use for the reception decor (guest book, signs..etc) The date you eloped or the date of the reception?

Hmm I probably just wouldn't put the date on the decorations. On the guest book I d put the date of the event that your guest are attending. But signs and stuff I d probably just put our married names and the year. Like Mr & Mrs ________ est.2022 . Do what you like though, have fun!
