Dark and Stormy signature drink

*sayre_ah*, on July 29, 2018 at 5:00 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 7

One of the signature drinks will be a Dark & Stormy (might change the name to something funny instead - any ideas would be great)! Real question is - what's the best recipe to make for a wedding? We're trying different ones we find but they all call for fresh lime juice. We've been buying the bottled kind and it doesn't taste right. I'm just not sure using fresh on the big day is realistic. Thoughts? What do other people do?

I've always had them without the lime and it tastes just fine. I love a good dark and stormy!

You could do a squeeze of like or the Key West like from the grocery store.

I’d just garnish it with a lime and let people squeeze it in themselves. The ginger beer and rum are the primary flavors for that drink and the lime just adds something extra!

Hi *sayre_ah*! I love a good Dark and Stormy, sounds so yummy! Agreeing with the others, you could just have the lime as a garnish and then if they want to squeeze it into the drink they can!

This is one of our signature drinks as well! So you do a dark smooth rum with ginger beer (I recommend Cock and Bull Ginger Beer), and a wedge of lime squeezed in. Mmmm it turns out so good, one of my favorite drinks We do like 1 part rum and 2 parts ginger beer.

If you don't want to use fresh lime you totally don't have to. We have made these without the lime and they still turn out awesome...the lime is just a nice added touch.
