D.o.c and Function Manager Tip

Emily, on August 3, 2019 at 10:26 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4
Our venue provides us a day of coordinator and function manager included in our venue cost. It only seems right to tip them even though we didn’t specifically hire them. Between arriving at the venue, the ceremony and reception, they will be working a minimum of 8 hours. What do you think I should tip them?

Is it an all-inclusive venue? If it is, tips and gratuity may be included already. Ours is.

    Hey there Emily!

Before deciding on a tip amount, I would advise that you make sure that any service fees or gratuity covered in your contract does not include a tip for these individuals. You don’t want to end up tipping them twice!

If gratuity is not included, I would recommend you find out the fee for both the day-of-coordinator and function manager and tip on the value of these. An itemized cost breakdown in your contract will make this a lot easier to figure out if you have one.
