Cupcakes & cutting cake

If you're doing a cutting cake and cupcakes, how big of a cutting cake are you doing? Are you serving your guests both? FH thinks it's weird to serve half the people cake and other half cupcakes so we're going around about it as to what to do.

    We have a cake that is two tier with a 6" and a 4" tier, and cupcakes. Just serving the cake to the bridal party and our parents and cupcakes for everyone else Smiley smile

    We have a 8" cake to cake and then 100 cupcakes (4 flavors) We basically wanted to make sure that if there were over 100 people that the 8inch cake could cover the "slices needed"

    We're having a top tier cake for us to cut. I think it's 6". We're serving out guests the cupcakes and we'll probably take the leftover cake for late night/the next day.

    We are doing a 4" cutting cake for us (yay leftover cake for breakfast) and cupcakes for everyone else.

    We have a 2 tier cake that will feed 30, a grooms chocolate that will feed 15 and then we will have a couple of sheet cakes in the back to be cut up. Most won't be none the wiser.

    We have a top tier cake for us to cut (I think it's 6in or 8in) and currently 300 cupcakes (we may reduce the number - but for 150 guests it would be 2 cupcakes each) (6 or 7 flavors).

    Our cutting cake is 6", so it will be just for us. But that would be a lot of cake, so I'll let whoever wants to have some take it. Otherwise we'll bring it back to the B and B with is and eat it at night.

    We're doing a 6" for cutting and 6 dozen cupcakes. All of our cupcakes are more "weird" (I don't know a better word to use) flavoured, so we picked plain vanilla buttercream for the cake. Anyone who would like a more basic flavour is welcome to the cake instead.

    We will be doing a small cutting cake and then cupcakes for everyone. We will be having enough cupcakes for 2 each.

    When I was considering this, I was going to have a small cake for just FH and I. Maybe parents if there were pieces left over.

    We are doing a cake for cutting and doughnuts for the guests. To make it easy and fair, we got a 6" cutting cake that we will not serve to guests but instead take home afterwards- it will be for just the 2 of us. We will cut a slice or two for the cake cutting and then eat it our HM week (we aren't going anywhere).

    We are doing a 6inch cutting cake and 72 cupcakes for 150 ish people . I was a bridesmaid in another wedding and they bought enough cupcakes for each person but ended up coming home with about 4 dozen cupcakes when everything was said and done! So since our caterer will also bring a bunch of desserts I figure 72 will be enough . I don't need to bring home a ton of cupcakes :p and saves us a bit of money too!
