Hi ladies, I wanted to get some input from you. What are your feelings about Cubic Zirconia rings? Is it tacky or is is it a good choice if you want a beautiful looking ring that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

Im using my BF account and actually Erin, its not about the ring, its how you feel between the two of you, and an engagement ring wont matter that much, you will get another ring on your wedding anyways. He honestly said (my bf) that he is saving for our big day and he gave me a $137 from https://goo.gl/paf2Qg and asked to marry me, and i couldnt be more happier, not with the ring but because he proposed and its because Im marrying him thats all that matters Smiley smile

This may seem tacky to some, but my center stone is CZ. All of the other ones surrounding the larger stone are real. I have pictured my engagement ring looking like this one for sooo long, but I never wanted to commit to the price of a diamon like that. To me, I was able to get my dream ring at a price I was more comfortable with.

The ring is an important piece, but not as important as the love and commitment you have for each other. In the end, the ring is a symbol, not a show item. I could care less if the entire thing was CZ, I feel comfortable with it and that’s the important part, like many on you have said Smiley smile

I think as long as you aren't trying to pass it off as a diamond, what does it matter?
Just do your research. I've heard other stones are harder to clean, lose their shine faster and some stones are more delicate. When I was looking at wedding bands and there was a ring my friend noticed with pearls on it and the sales woman said "that's for a lunch wife". Meaning, pearls are very delicate and not for everyday wear.

Its you are ok with a fake ring then go for it. I know my fiance would not be ok with a fake stone.

CZ isn't tacky especially if its a good quality stone. it's literally just an Alternative Diamond. Many brides like the look of colorless stones because hell they match with anything. I prefer CZ's and other colorless stones because the rings usually cost enough for me to love it but not enough that I would be up a creek if something happened to it. People say they buy diamonds so that they can sell it off if they need the money. Thing is what you paid for the ring is NEVER what you get back, they lose value as soon as you purchase it. Also many brides like myself get new rings for our anniversaries every year. I love jewelry so I never wear the same ring for long that a Diamond would make sense for someone like me. Additionally regardless of what paper they throw at you there is no way to truly be sure your diamond isn't the product of slave labor, war financing, and other Inhumane treatments against our fellow men, women, and children. I rather be comfortable knowing that no one potentially died over my CZ and other diamond alternative rings. Some people simply "MUST" have a diamond. The humanitarian in me just can't sit right with the idea of them, but different strokes for different folks. BTW here's my Diamond Simulant ring that I'll finally get to officially wear on my anniversary this July
