Crying walking down the aisle...

andeejai, on July 18, 2014 at 1:08 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 30

Do you think or know you will cry? Or think you weren't going to cry and did? I know I will cry, but I hope I do not get too emotional. I don't want ugly cry face in my photos lol.

I do not want to look like this:

I think I will be able to hold it in and not be a wreck...on the other hand, I think FH will end up being a blubbering baby

OMG so funny you should say this... I totally have ugly cry face! And I most certainly will be crying (I'm super emotional). I instructed my photographer to not focus on me too much or to just not show me those shots Smiley smile

I cry ALL THE TIME. but i feel like i will be so giddy that day and in a haze that i will probably giggle more than cry. we do plan on a first look, at that point i may cry.

I am doing a first look as well... I wonder if the first look calms down nerves before walking down the aisle. Anyone know?

The vows are going to get to me! But I really think I might lose it when I see others crying. Two of my bridesmaids are going to be crying like babies! One is my current roomie (who lives with me and FH) and she's sad about us not living together once we are married. The other is my little cousin. She cried when I told her I was engaged and she bawled when I asked her to be a bridesmaid! We have joked about hiding tissues in their bouquets!

I did a first look because I'm an emotional person and it seriously helped so much. By the time I was walking down the aisle I was calm and not crying. I highly recommend it.

I do wonder about this. I think going down the aisle, I'll be too elated to cry. But the vows ...

I didn't cry until my husband said his personal vows. I couldn't hold it in then.

My sister (and awesome MoH) is going to walk me down the aisle. Our dad passed away a few months ago & my sister stepped up saying she's going to do it. So I'll probably be a little emotional....until she gives me a little pinch & I start to get the giggles.

She's also told me she's doing to dance with me for the Father-Daughter dance (to the song I had already chosen before dad passed away), so I'll be crying then too.

I'm a pretty big emotional crier so i thought I would walking down the aisle. I was so happy and composed I surprised myself. I got teary eyed up during our vows though.

OMG. Im afraid of crying down the aisle and I know I will. I didn't think I would cry when FH proposed especially because I knew about it, but I balled like an ugly baby!!!

No clue ... I'm sure I'll have some tears at some point throughout the wedding. I had tears in my eyes when he popped the question! Smiley smile

I'm probably going to cry when I see my dad that day, because he'll cry. We both blubber like big babies when we get emotional. So it's going to happen. It just is.

I cry at everything. EVERYTHING. It's a known fact in my family. I already told my mom I should probably have my make up artist there all night because the day is going to go like this:

    Get ready.

    Cry.

    Touch up.

    First look.

    Cry.

    Touch up.

    Walk down the aisle, sobbing.

Cry up in front of everyone.

Cry walking back down the aisle.

    Touch up.

    Cry during speeches.

    Touch up.

    Cry during first dance.

    Cry during father-daughter dance.

    Touch up.

And probably a few more tears in there somewhere.

My sister looked just like this. She was cool and calm until the piper started and everyone turned to look at her, and then she absolutely lost it. She was trying to smile though, so it was more of a grimace. My parents were bringing her tissue paper to the alter for her. It was fun and made for a funny story after, but it's hard to know how you will react until that moment.
