Crinoline? Petticoat? Huh? :)

I had been on the lookout for a petticoat too. I also have an A-line and wanted to give it a bit more poof. My seamstress mentioned that they can sew in extra layers of crinoline for me to give me the exact amount of fullness I want. Plus I won’t have to mess with an extra, separate undergarment. You might want to ask if this is possible for your dress too.

The previous poster had some great advice, have you spoken with your seamstress or a seamstress? They may have some ideas on how to make the dress float off your body and give you your desired silhouette!

There are a ton of petticoats on Etsy, have you checked out there? You may find something suitable there

The appointment went down hill from there. Ahhhhh! The seamstress Hazel was actually very nice but there is no way I am dealing with that other crazy woman again.

I met a new seamstress who was very helpful and specializes in custom and gown reconstruction. I am going to go with her for the alterations when I get to that point, but adding in layers isn't something I want to do after talking with her. It's not cheap either. Anyone else find a gold Aline crinoline that BREATHES? TY! 🍰😍🤩

The aline slip from DB turned out to be perfect. It runs small so I followed others advice and went up 2 sizes. The best thing about the new mini wedding due to the virus, is that I don't have to worry about being hot. It's just a small amount of time that I'll be wearing it. When we do the reception on our 1 yr anniversary for the 120 people that were originally invited, I'll just wear a fun white dress. I am very thankful for that actually as someone who is a size 14/16 and gets hot easily. I wanted to make sure to do an update. I'll post pictures after the wedding
