There are tooth whitening services online where you can get a custom mold made and then a supply of whitening gel. Costs about 1/2 your dentist's quote.

I hate Crest Whitestrips. They don't stay on or whiten evenly, at least for me. When I used the OTC stuff, I used Rembrandt. At least that came with a plastic tray that you heat and mostly mold to your teeth.

However, I do know some people for whom the Crest stuff works well. Just NOT me.

I bought Crest Whitestrips too, the expensive treatment, and it did not work. I was really upset because I started it right before my wedding so my teeth were extra white and it didn't help at all.

The problem with te strips is that if your teeth are not perfectly straight they do not whiten evenly.

I've been using Crest 3D white toothpaste, and I can honestly say my teeth are whiter using that toothpaste than after using ANY white strips. I tried all the 2 hour whitening stuff, the trays, the strips, the mouthwashes. None of it has worked as well as this toothpaste. Just after 2 or 3 times brushing my teeth. I hear all the 3D white products work just as well, so maybe look into those strips. Maybe do the whole routine, use the mouthwash, strips, toothpaste. Its worth a try and much cheaper.

I used the strips back in college when they first came out - had no significant difference. They made my teeth SUPER sensitive too ... a problem I never had up until using the strips.

Since then I've been using the arm & hammer advance white with baking soda & noticed a difference within a few weeks and love it. I had a professor who had the most white teeth I've ever seen and his trick was baking soda once a week - tasted nasty but he said it worked great.

    Crest 3D toothpaste is AWESOME!!

Crest Whitestrips, the original ones that take 15 days or something like that work great for me... but you do have to have really straight teeth and make sure you press the strip into each crack!!!

Try Rembrandt 2 hour white. I've used it a few times and always had great results. Its about $20 for the kit.

I've used the CVS ones and have seen improvement, you just have to be patient because it takes a while for to notice the difference. But if you use them everyday for a few weeks, it will help for sure!

The basic Crest whitestrips work great! I usually see a difference within the first five days and great results in two. As someone else said, they do make my teeth a little sensitive but its not unbearable.

The Crest ones worked for me. However, although I could see a difference, I doubt your guests will even notice teeth a few shades whiter. So if money is tight, they may not be worth it.

I actually use the Aquafresh White Trays and they are AWESOME. My teeth look significantly whiter after 2-3 days.. DO NOT try the CVS brand of these though! I used them and got painful sores all over my gums because the liquid dripped down and burned the crap out of them!

(Again, that's just the CVS brand trays.. Maybe the CVS strips are better!)

I found that yesterday and am debating it. I can't find a negative review on the product.

I have used the real and store brand white strips and trays. The real brand always works so much better!!
