Creative alternatives to pillow / basket for ring bearer / flower girl

Terri, on October 1, 2012 at 12:38 AM Posted in Planning 0 9

I would love to come up with something other than the traditional ring pillow for our ring bearer and flower basket for our flower girl. Since we will have several kids / grandkids among our guests we will be doing bubbles instead of rice or bird seed...so though about having our ring bearer pushing his bubble mower or Thomas train bubble train with bubbles flowing. And get the Cinderella carriage bubble push toy for our flower girl (both are under the age of 5 yrs)

It's an outdoor wedding and we will be doing the dove release also...so another thought was a small artificial birds nest with rings tied on ribbon on the front of it.

I also like the "here comes the bride" signs ....

Anyone have any unique ideas / suggestions???

    Bubble mower sounds fun.

I've seen boys ring bells and hold signs. My ring-bearer carried a toy instead of a pillow.

Girls hold parasols or ribbon wands.

    Welcome to WW Terri! Congrats!!!

My mother purchased a really cute wooden box from the mountains for our ring bearer to carry. We have practiced with him and he is doing so good with it! Proud of that little baby <3

OMG, ring security is the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life! I really like the idea of the bobble mower, or the train, and the boxes are really cute too, but may not work as well for lots of kids. The little kissing balls are adorable for the girls, and would work for multible kiddos. I really like the thought of the artificial birds too.

Both are flower girls are very into Disney Princesses, so our florist is doing a wand for them. They'll get to keep it and take it home to play with, too! The ring security picture above is priceless!

I'm loving the ring security idea too lol...too adorable. my DIL likes it too (our ring bearers mommy)..maybe I can find a little brief case and do "here comes the bride" on it???

A girl I work with suggested a small flower arrangement made around a bubble gun...hiding the gun itself...just an opening for the bubbles to come out and for her hand to hold the trigger???

But, I think I am beginning to lean more toward the wand for FG, ring security..but still undecided...and then hide bubble guns under my SIL's seat in the front row so she can hand them to the kids at the end.??

Thanks for the input...love this site
