Reception SpaceCreating a Dance Floor Space 1

Wondering if you have any ideas how to create a designated dance floor space. My venue is one big open room with lots of potential! We are going to have 175 guests so we need about 60% of the space for tables. The only idea I had was to have a monogram put on the floor of the dance space but any ideas you have would be appreciated!

Are you using the long tables, and if so, are they going to be set up like in the picture? I ask because this layout was very similar to mine. We had our band on the wall as shown in your picture, then our sweetheart table was at the other end facing the band. This created a natural frame around the dance floor area. I think once you have everything set up and laid out with all your tables, the dance floor area will naturally take shape. I wouldn't spend extra money getting a monogram, unless this is in your budget and is important to you.

If you don't put an actual dance floor down i say arrange the table around where you want the dance floor to be. Say on opposite sides of the large drawn out area. People will understand that the huge open area must be for dancing. Does you DJ have lighting that they bring or a monogram could be nice. An added touch really. Sometimes the DJ's light hover over the dance floor, but i think it would be obvious.

I would use the tables to kind of block it off into a square.

I would definitely use the tables as "boundaries"

However you arrange the tables will create the obvious dance floor area, especially if the DJ is near it. I don't think you need anything to say "this is the dance floor" unless you really want to.
