Crazy weight question....

Maggie N, on August 22, 2013 at 1:18 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 21

My dress BARELY fits. And my arms are fat. And my wedding is Saturday. Any last minute tricks? I saw something on a reality show and I wonder if it works.... Preparation H and Saran Wrap will apparently give the affect as a body wrap?? Anyone know?

I would cleanse right now! You can lose inches....do a liquid diet...as long as it's not too small then you'll fine but don't go in on any food this week girlie!

I say do a juice cleanse and look into body wraps. Don't try any home remedies, they have legitimate wrap treatments that can shrink you a couple sizes, at least temporarily. Don't sweat it! I bet you look amazing and are just being hard on yourself.

Here's the thing- bridesmaids luncheon tonight and rehearsal dinner tomorrow night! So I can't get away with not eating!

No trick Maggie...sorry to say. Embrace how look today and except it because nothing will change in 2 days.

Enjoy yourself. once you walk down the aisle you won't be thinking about your arms. : )

Yeah, but that should be enough to help her fit into her dress better, right?

Go get a body wrap done! You will lose all of your water weight thus making you thinner and less bloated. You will lose several inches off of your waist, thighs, arms, belly, etc. if you do a full body. They can get quite expensive, but for a last minute fix, I would recommend it! But beware, they only last for like 72 hours or something crazy! Also, it might make a little bit of a difference if you stay away from sodium until your big day. Salt makes your body retain water making you look bigger.

The link above has some info on body wraps. Look under the "Dehydration Wrap."

    Hope that helps!

At this point I would start taking Diurex or another water pill. Definitely not the most healthy thing in the world but better than your dress not fitting. Stop eating salt, do not drink soda and only drink water. Eat light and healthy and avoid foods that cause inflammation (aka wheat belly).

Can you get in a few more cardio workouts in the next few days? Sweat it out!

My dress was a bit too tight about 5 days before my wedding. I tried a wrap at a spa. It didn't help at all. I ended up getting some last minute alterations done. With the style of my dress it was really easy. Good luck!

I did a body wrap a few months ago.. It looked good for about an hour and then after that I bloated right back to normal. Don't waste your time and money. If it was a week or 2, I would say liquid diet just for the dress fitting but there isnt much to do in 2 days.

Ok are there any DIY wraps I can buy and do myself? There are no spas that do them near our wedding location! Diurex- that one is probably going to be bought very soon!!

    Wraps don't work.

    Here's my advice...

Eat as little salt as possible - the more salt/sodium intake you have, the more water you'll retain

Avoid dairy, sugar, breads, and EVERYTHING processed --> (ie. TONS of salt/sugar)

Try using Diurex SAFELY, don't eat the whole box or anything Smiley winking

Drink LOTS and LOTS of water (not enough to make you sick though) Smiley winking

Try using a firming cream to tighten up any extra jiggly spots

Try sticking to lean meat and vegetables ONLY until your big day

    RELAX

The more you stress, the more you'll hold on to everything...go for a mani/pedi and enjoy your day!!! Smiley laugh

    Good luck!!! Smiley laugh

    Yes prep h works.

Just make sure to look up things online about it first on how to do it. Body builders use it before physique competitions as do military people for weigh ins and stuff . It dehydrates the skin a bit

NO CARBONATION! and like everyone said no salts. Don't fast because the last thing you need to be doing is passing out at the ceremony. stick to veggies and salad and lean protein if you can. sometimes if you try to do a flush youll actually gain water weight before it cleanses because of your intake so be careful.

Drink, drink, drink that water. It will help flush everything out! And like the others said stay away from salty.

I agree. Don't stop eating. Stick to veggies, fish, etc. No carbs. No salt. Nothing carbonated. Kits of liquids are full of sodium too, so water is best. If you are going to exercise make sure you eat something! Have a light salad at your luncheon and stuff. You will do fine. Wouldn't waste your money on a wrap

save it for some yummy desert the day after your wedding.

Cut out all bread, grains, candy, soda, and pasta for sure. Drinking tea will help with your Bowel Movements (Sorry TMI) and also don't eat 2-3 hours before bed each night.
