Hey everyone just this past week the mayor of N.Y. has given us a greenlight to have wedding starting up as of March 15, 2021 allowing venues to operate at 50% maximum 150 people But is requiring people to get tested for Covid in NYC . I am getting married April 17, 2021. I need some advice on how to politely ask My guest to get tested prior to the wedding. It’s been all over the news but you know how some Guest will overlook it so I will include it in my invitations. I work in a healthcare facility which I get tested twice a week so that wouldn’t be a problem for me but I need to find a polite way to ask my guest to do the same.

I will do that my guest list is 92 and that is just family on both sides but you always have the couple of people that don’t think they have to my mom already had to have a discussion with my grandma which is so excited for me to get married but so Scared to get tested which is just a Q-tip Swabbing your nose Because of what she hears from my aunts that work from home and could care about nobody else but themselves like my end that went to Mexico twice during the pandemic and her last time had to get swabbed which she put up a fuss which I myself as a healthcare worker which has been swabbed twice a week for almost 10 months. So in my head I’m saying suck it up buttercup it’s one swab and it’s for the safety of everybody

I’m putting an insert into my invitation saying “please bring a negative covid test to the reception that has been taken with 48 hours of our wedding”
