Well, it’s official... we have postponed our wedding for the second time. We went from a two-year engagement in 2020 to a three-year engagement in 2021, and now it will be a four-year engagement with us getting married in 2022 🤦🏼♀️😩 I know it was the right/safest decision for us to make. I have heard back from all but 2 of our vendors, and so far everyone has been incredibly understanding and accommodating (crossing my fingers on these last two!🤞🏻)
There is just one thing worrying me... my dress. For one, I’m afraid it won’t fit properly. Two years is a long time! I’ve recently started a much healthier lifestyle and as a result I have been seeing results on the scale. I would absolutely love to be way smaller in 2 years, but that would mean my dress will no longer work (due to the design, it can only be taken in 1 size, MAYBE 2 max). On the flipside, I could totally fail at this new healthy lifestyle and end up gaining weight! 😂 in which case, again my dress doesn’t work because it cannot be let out at all. I’m also worried that I won’t like my dress by the time our wedding finally rolls around. I’ve had it for some time now (since we keep having to postpone). As of now I am still absolutely in love with it, but I’m afraid after another two years I may not feel the same way. Has anyone who’s had to postpone gone through this? Or, if you purchased your dressed years in advance, did you still love it when it finally came time to wear it? Any dress regrets?
