Covid-19 Staycation ideas!

Blair, on March 17, 2020 at 3:41 PM Posted in Honeymoon 1 9
So luckily our wedding went off without a hitch just before the national shutdown that is coronavirus. My heart goes out to all you brides that are having to juggle a wedding with this going on!! But now we've decided to postpone our honeymoon trip until next year. We still want a chance to relax and enjoy ourselves as a newly married couple! So we plan to have a staycation starting this weekend. I'm looking for ideas to make this a special time for us, even though we can't go out to eat or to a spa or anything else. Looking for any fun ideas for honeymooning during a pandemic!

Takes turns cooking each other's favorite meals, try a meal kit delivery service, try a murder mystery date night box, try a new at home workout, hit up the liquor store and test out some new cocktail recipes, go for a hike, give each other massages...

Great!! We're also planning to clean up the house before we start so that we aren't stressing about that. We have tons of candles left over from the wedding, so we plan to decorate with that. That should hive us some ambiance.

Omg, this made me think of something from my childhood. If my husband and I were going to have a staycation, I'd definitely force him into building a blanket/pillow fort with me in our living room. Just an idea! Smiley smile

You could also order some nerf guns from online and have a Nerf war in/around the outside of your house lol

Love those! We have water guns from a former water battle one night. We'll break those out for sure!

Currently our plan is #honeymoonathome as well — we got married in September and had planned on a belated April honeymoon in Italy, which is of course not happening! We are looking forward to cooking at home together — we have a pasta maker we haven’t used yet so that’s a big goal! Plus some board games, puzzles, some country drive, and lots of walks with the pup we adopted a few months ago.

For us, I think we would get a meal kit delivery, or maybe get a meal delivered from your favorite restaurant (if you have that option). Then, I've also seen several bakeries that have a cookie or cupcake decorating kits (that would be fun & so delicious) that you can order.
