I’m getting married next year in July. However, I haven’t heard things cooling off when it comes to this pandemic. It seems that businesses are trying to open up and life is just going to continue despite not having a vaccine or any form of treatment.

I know a lot of couples have canceled or postponed there wedding for next year. But does anyone really know what’s going to happen next year?

We postponed ours until July 2021 and we’re hoping the best. Unfortunately, no one knows what next year will bring.

Hi, and welcome!
We really have no idea what the next year is going to look like. We can take a peek at other countries that are opening up, but they aren't necessarily good analogies, because we're so different. (Both in response, but also in size. I mean, for instance, New Zealand is teeny-tiny compared to us. There's just flat-out less *people*.)
The best we can all say is to hope for the best, plan for the worst... and try to be flexible.
Hopefully we'll have some idea of how to prevent transmission (more contact tracing?), and better treatments by then, maybe even a vaccine!

Congratulations on your engagement!!! What an exciting time!
I'm not sure that anyone knows exactly what will happen this year or next. I'm certainly not an infectious disease expert, doctor or scientist. However, I know you're not alone in your concern. Here are two other discussions that may be interesting to you:
