I’m getting married September 25 2021! Definitely have questions for all of you. Im having my engagement party November 16th. I already planned my bridal party and plan on telling them at the party , when you know you know right? Even though the wedding is two years away 😳

What is everyone's plan for this year due to covid? I'm still unsure if I'll be having a wedding, but I am still getting married.

We have a new date of 9/25/2021. We will still get married but unsure how it’ll go. We are hoping with it being late September, it is a good chance we can proceed as planned. However, it is hard to tell. We will cut the guest list to immediate family and bridal party, then have mask if needed. All I know is we will get married then!

We’ve been nervous since last March and people told us we were over reacting and that things would be better by 9/25/21. Now it’s not not looking that way. So far we’re planning to continue with plans as normal but on our save the dates we’re going to include that plans may change with covid 19. And we’re being totally understanding if people aren’t comfortable coming. Back up plan is to just have the wedding be smaller and do kind of like an elopement at our venue. We’re keeping our date no matter what but just keeping in our heads that it’ll be whatever it is at this point. 😓 I did go to a covid wedding a few months ago and even though there was only 20 of us it was still such a beautiful day so I know whatever ends up happening it’ll be a wonderful!

Last Summer, we officially decided to postpone to this date in the hopes of having a full wedding. I'm hoping for the best and preparing for the worst. Our original guitarist was 100-120. We're going to decide by this June-ish whether to reduce to 50 or fewer. Most of my side is out of state, which complicates logistics significantly. We're sending out a survey to all 100-120 guests asking questions about what COVID-related factors affect their decision to attend in person (positivity rates, vaccine availability, travel restrictions), their self identifies risk level, as well as their preferences for travel and lodging. Our venue is outside and had been taking COVID seriously. They've changed their approach to meals (plated vs. family style) and are flexible with seating and other details. We've also spoken with family about having a courthouse ceremony if it comes down to it (even a virtual ceremony). We've also looked into livestream and recording options. We've postponed once and we don't want to postpone again. We dated for almost 6 years and are ready to be married. If we need to, we'll get married this year and celebrate with others creatively and in person at a later time. I don't want anyone to get sick because of our wedding.

My wedding date is set for 925/2021 in Los Angeles i am already considered postponing. I don't know if 250 days in advance is to soon to decide that or not. Has anyone else made this decision already or is everyone waiting to see what the venue recommends?

I asked my wedding planner when I should start considering postponing.. our wedding is abroad so borders staying closed is a bit of a problem lol. She told me she's telling all her brides that if the wedding is past August then wait at least until the end of February to assess the situation and how the vaccine rollout is going. If the borders are still closed by March or April the absolute latest, then I'm going to postpone to Spring 2022. We're going to book a backup date now just in case. I really don't want to postpone but even more so I don't want a "covid" wedding where I have to relocate it, slash the guest list, etc etc. Fingers crossed. Smiley smile
