Planning has definitely slowed down for me - which is odd, because 4x mos. ago planning was def all
consuming.
Right now the biggest feeling is excited. RSVP are trickling in & it’s so exciting! The most unique thing that we are doing is having a friend play acoustic guitar when the wedding party walks down the aisle. I also really wanted a perfect pair favor to match our hashtag & this weekend I found a chocolate bar label on Etsy - so we are going to purchase them.

LOVE an acustic ceremony. So Beautiful and special.

Etsy has been great for a ton of stuff.. cake topper, wedding hair piece, gifts for the fathers, gifts for wedding party... etsy = amazing!

Our unique twist... we are having a mini bar set up upon arrival for ceremony so (if they want) people can have a drink in hand. We are also doing late night pizza delivery to venue (groom's request).

Next on agenda are the bachelor and bachelorette parties/trips. Lol. That should help with the lessing stressful for exciting vibes for sure.

Planning has gotten way less stressful over the past fee weeks.

Luckily we got out in front of our timelonebso that this last 2 month stretch should be smooth sailing.

This weekend we wrapped up all of the favors, grooms party gifts, brides party gifts, mailed the rest of the invites printee menus, cut corks (holders for menus)....

Ideally all crafts are done by next weekend. So all that's left is to pay for the remaining big ticket items (venue and catering balance and furniture rental).

Have my dress fitting in 3 weeks!

It seemed bleak a few months back. Tons on the to do list, stress levels high, real life calamities... but it has for sure turned around

I noticed you mentioned you cut corks and I was wondering how you did it? We need to cut them for our escort cards and I’m having some trouble.

We used cutting board and steak knife (serrated makes it easier, so does a thin blade)

We held cork long ways and cut into bottom sawing toward center so the slit is vertical down center of cork if it were standing vertically. We only needed to go down 1/3 of the way to get a deep enough groove to hold cards.

View Quoted Comment You are right - we got a cake topper with FH last name & a couple with a dog (must include the furbaby), we also ordered 2x wine Decatur that has FH & mine first name & his last name (I’m taking his) on the wine glass for the wine ceremony. The afterparty will be at the hotel & we will be bringing in soft pretzels (Philly girl here) for snacks & to help absorb the alcohol.

I love that the drinks are available right away - I would definitely be drinking the ginger beer cocktail the moment I entered haha!

View Quoted Comment Absolutely! Marianne at Stewart Designs did them!!!! She is listed on my vendor list I think. But I will screen shot her info for you.

She actually hand designed and created the font that looks handwritten. She found us a ton of savings. And she even helped by stamping all of the return addresses for us.
