Just curious to see if any of you that are getting married on 11/10/19 are getting married that day because it is ALSO the Marine Corps Birthday! If so, would like to swap USMC Wedding ideas/Inspiration. Thanks!

Congratulations, you are so close! We didn't have much at our wedding for military decor, but my husband was in the USMC so I had his nametape sewn into my dress! A few other cute ideas I've seen are a USMC groom's cake & a USMC garter!

That’s my wedding day too! My fiancé is a former marine, and at the time we weren’t even thinking about it being the Marine Corp birthday when we booked the date, we just knew that Veterans Day was the next day and most people would have off. A lot of his marines buddies are super excited we picked that day! We’re thinking of doing a small tribute to all veterans that day, because we have a lot of family that’s in the military.

Both our days are so close, how are you feeling?!

We picked our date back in July... and it seemed so far away at the time. But now it’s just over a month away. We are paying for everything ourselves and planning it all ourselves. So yes, a little bit of stress that everything goes smoothly! We have a good team of vendors and we are confident in them. Ready for the day to see it all come together! We are doing red, white and blue for the colors. Florida beach wedding and then Reception in a large banquet room in the American Legion. He’s not wearing his blues or anything, but we will have little Marine Corps and American Flags in our Centerpieces alongside the flowers and candles. It’s coming so quick! But yes, we picked the date on purpose for its meaning and because friends and family would have the next day off!

MEE!!! My FH is in the Marine Corps. We will be having Ammo can boxes with silk flowers for half our centerpieces! also having the EGA on the back of our koozie favors! I chose a marine corps garter and we will be doing an arch of swords Smiley smile I wanted a rustic theme as well so we did half of each. can't wait to see pics of your big day!!! Happy early birthday to your FH and congratulations Smiley heart
