Hey y’all! We’re date twins, lol! Just out of curiosity— how much of your wedding do you have planned already? What things are already official, and confirmed? Thank y’all!

Not at the moment. But my wedding planner and I are working with my vendors to identify dates and have a back up plan for if we need to postpone if things dont get better. Currently we are gonna wait til end of March or Easter before we decide to postpone or not

This made me feel better.. I am a bit nervous and decided to see what brides with the same date as me are thinking of doing so thank you for putting my mind a bit at ease. I will be calling all my vendors like you did just to make sure everything is still good to go with everyone! Smiley smile

Currently we havent contacted guests yet. We dont want to contact them until we know what we plan to do at end of March/Easter timeframe. Currently we arent getting any RSVPs in since coronavirus issues. My guess is we will get more declines even if it does get better but our wedding is under 100 already so it doesnt bother us too much if we lose a few more guests. If we can make our original date happen, we are sticking to it whether that means 100 guests or 20.

Hey, ladies! Out of curiosity, how many of you are planning on postponing? Event planner friend of mine strongly encouraged me to go ahead & start planning for that. I'm sure you all know, but we're week 9 of the CDC's 8-week no gathering guidelines. As a nurse, I know we'll be in better shape if we can continue social distancing past then, but if the curve spikes up & all hell breaks loose, we'll be in recovery mode at that point. (but maybe not in the mood to celebrate??) My fiance & I are planning to courthouse wed that day regardless, but I'm really sad about it. All but 4 of our 70 guests live a plane ride away, sonwe won't even have our essential people with us. What are your thoughts?

I’m in California and my wedding date is on May 16th. It’s seeming pretty likely we will need to postpone but I’m hoping we can have a private ceremony with just our parents on May 16th. What’s everyone else’s plans? Sorry to all brides going through this it’s really heartbreaking to have put so much time and effort into something not happening the way you envisioned Smiley sad

We officially decided to move the date today. We can't risk not having our families.with us. We picked the three most important components & triangulated Fall availability. Several of our other vendors don't have that date available & are refusing to give our deposits back. It's very frustrating, but you can't make people be good people. I understand this is financially hard for them too to lose out on business, but it makes it so we can't afford to rebook with other people who could also use the business. Making some tough decisions about what to leave out on our new day.

    Well I haven't been able
to move my date yet because everything is close right now so I have to wait for Governor to open back up the city park and recreation administration officers so I can move my date and keep my venue at the union train station in Petersburg it so frustrating is right I wanted so much to get married on May 16, but I may have to move the date I don't know what going to happen. Am praying .

That sounds really frustrating. Our ceremony venue is at a public park shelter too. I'm not sure what it's like in your town, but I took a shot in the dark & both called the number on the parks website (it was set up to automatically go to voicemail) & emailed them using the help/ contact section & people got back to me via both routes and I was able to change my reservation! You'd be surprised at all the people who are still doing their jobs from home.

We just decided to move our date out further . I had my heart set on that date.
Thought about marrying on that date as well at a court house but I'm not sure since it's a Sat. I would Marry him anywhere in a heartbeat. But we really want our family there so we're currently working on moving it to Aug.1 waiting on Ceremony site to get back with us is nerve racking ! Having to re order things with new date is the heartbreaking to me .We were so close! Moving it out seems so far away now. But keeping everyone safe an healthy is what is important.

We decided to move it out to August as well. Smiley sad Not even sure what the wedding will look like now, if people will still come. We’re hopeful to get married on May 16th with our parents but the courts are closed so not sure if we can get our license. It’s so hard but we’re all in this together! One day it’ll be a story to tell.

Our venue canceled our wedding. So we're just waiting to see how things go. I'm honestly at a loss as to what to even do.

We just postponed this week. Smiley cry

We are planning on moving everything to 5/15/2021. BUT we might have a little commitment ceremony on our 7th anniversary in July if the courts open up and we can get our marriage license! Smiley heart Good Luck to everyone at their weddings and I hope all your guests, venues and vendors are understanding and will work with you! Smiley ring
