Couples getting married on March 6, 2021

I am an over planner so we have pretty much everything set up/planned but have only officially booked venue, photographer, officiant, caterer, HMAU, and bakery! Getting married April 2021, but I am finishing up my last year of nursing school so I’m trying to be proactive and give us a lot of time! Happy planning (:

My fiancé and I are getting married 9/4/21 and have just the photographer, hairdresser and officiant booked. For me those were my priorities since I had very particular people I wanted and made sure to book them as soon as I was engaged 😂 I’m hoping come January we have our venue selected!

I’m struggling with the venue, we live in AZ but are getting married in NY.. not being able to see the location in person is making me hold back. Driving myself crazy because we need to choose one ASAP 😩

Hi there! We are getting married a few months before you. Our wedding date is January 2nd, 2021. Here's what we've booked so far (in order):

1. Venue (comes with caterer). Our ceremony & reception are at the same venue.

5. Bought my dress (I know I'm way early on this one, but I didn't want my dream dress to be discontinued before I could order)

I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one planning a year and a half out! I thought I was crazy LOL. We've booked our venue so far. I've decided on the bakery for our cupcakes, we have a rough guest list (although we need to cut about 20-30 guests to get down to the size we can afford), and my wedding Pinterest board is overloaded with my ideas for DIY centerpieces (I've even started collected the items I will need). More importantly I BOUGHT MY WEDDING DRESS!!! I don't mess around waiting LOL. I'm a little nervous about how to store it for over a year though! Anyone else already have their dress? And how are you storing it? I'm thinking folded and tucked away in the closet is safer than letting it hang that long. I've also got our wedding website in the works, and for the most part our budget is set. The thing I'm struggling most with is deciding what food to cater and determining our budget for that.

I wanted November 2020, but my dad is helping pay for the venue so it gives him more time to pay and we literally bought a house the same week he proposed! There was no way we could have a decent wedding when we now have a house. Plus, it’s actually coming faster than i thought! We got engaged in the beginning of August and I remember thinking, “2021 is so far away” and here it is already Thanksgiving! I’m afraid to get my dress this soon for the same reason. I have ideas for it and a ridiculous amount of pins on Pinterest 😂

I'm a teacher so we knew we were going to have to plan it based on one of my breaks or summer. Originally we were going to do summer 2021 out of state but that dream was soon shattered when I realized how much more expensive it would be for us hah! Luckily I had a great local place in mind and spring in Florida will be perfect. I'm wishing I didn't have to store my dress this long, but honestly when I saw it I knew it was the one, and since we don't have any BHLDN stores in Florida it was order it now or be kicking myself later once it sold out! Any ideas for your dress yet? Do you have your eye on one? Honestly I think if I get a proper box or garment bag to lay it in for the next year and a half it will survive! Fingers crossed anyway! 😂

View Quoted Comment Yes! Literally not even a week after moving in he did it in our driveway! I’m an educator so I absolutely understand!! That’s partly another reason why we picked 2021. Not only do we have a mortgage now, but let’s me real, educators don’t make the best money! We would have to cover our dj, photographer, attire, honeymoon and a few other things. We are having our wedding 3/6/2021 then our honeymoon spring break which is about a month later! I don’t mind though! I want like a ballroom dress mixed with a rustic feel. I was thinking maybe a ballroom dress with lace? I’m not 100% sure yet. I would think if it was stored in a box or maybe a dress bag it would be okay!

Im getting married March 6, 2021 too! Im on the same level as you are! venue picked and just asked my bridal party! I was freaking out! Nice to know im not alone on this! I have no idea where to start!
