17 is a lucky number in his family; his parents met, started dating, got engaged, and married on the 17th. It was also his and his sister's due dates and their grandfather's jersey number, so we had to do the 17th. We originally planned for another month but for unforseen circumstances we had to change our date. The only months left to pick from that didn't fall on a family member's birthday or wedding anniversary were February, March, and July so we picked March for the weather and possible family vacations during spring break one day. 😊
