Adam and I are getting married at an old silk mill in a historic neighborhood with a courtyard ceremony and indoor reception. Our colors are dusty blue (bridesmaids), navy (groomsmen) and gold (accent) with bright pops of color for the flowers! We're contemplating the theme of "Let Love Grow" since there will be lots of greenery and blooms. We will also be serving pie instead of cake for our dessert!

Excited to hear what everyone else is planning for their June weddings (:

I really appreciate this POV, thank for sharing. We’re also heading toward making a call at the beginning of April.

I hear you, totally agree. And the last several replies have been very helpful already! I’ll be dropping in with updates, and appreciate what others are saying as well as we work this out.

Ashley - a groomsmen dropped out of your wedding that's 3 months away? Yikes I'm sorry. Maybe he'll change his mind when he sees that all is well or if we're all forced to postpone?

We have two new tentative dates if we postpone (which is a high possibility). Our state is still under stay at home order for an unknown amount of time. We have already started to contact vendors and rental house owners and they are all very accommodating. The end of April we will make the final decision and then send postponement cards to everyone that has been invited. (Already getting rsvps back for the current date).

I’m having a heck of a time trying to schedule a fitting for my dress. I made my appointment back in February and it’s been postponed once and then outright canceled. Like we’ve already moved the wedding up to this year for my dad, so having to move it again is frustrating to say the least. We’re still in a holding pattern.

Officially have to postpone. Smiley cry Wedding is in New Orleans, which as a city alone has over 2000 cases. Mardi Gras + spring break were a perfect storm for getting the city shut down. They haven't even bothered setting an end date for their lock down order. It's a destination for us, so I gotta stop leaving my guests handing and just pull the plug on this date. Smiley cry

We just decided to pull the trigger on postponing our wedding. Cancelled our honeymoon and rescheduled everything else for one year. Keeping the 6/13 date as it is special to us.

Everyone was nothing but nice about canceling and rescheduling. We were just about to send out the invitations so glad we decided to change now. This weekend making new cards to let everyone know that we are changing.
We feel making this hard decision gives us less stress, making our guests able to be clear minded and not afraid of coming.
    How about you guys?

The only date that all our vendors seem to be available is Nov 13th. Hoping to reschedule to then - waiting for final confirmation now. Pretty bummed about letting go of our beautifully planned june wedding 😓

Yes. Once I notified my guests, it felt like a huge weight was lifted and I had a whole new outlook. Now I just keep thinking everyone is going to be so glad to celebrate when this is all over. Hopefully anyone else who’s forced to made the tough call will feel the same way.

We are ordering new wedding invites with the new date on it too. We have a tentative new date for September 20th. Yes now it’s a Sunday night wedding because after going back and forth with vendors that’s all they had left. We were trying for the 19th but our catering company is booked solid that day. We didn’t want to have to start all over again picking a new catering company. Final decision will be made at the end of the month but we are looking for to the September wedding date.

    Yes 😔
I already had to cancel my bachelorette weekend scheduled for the end of this month. Hoping we can still have the bridal shower at the end of May and wedding in June, but definitely worried 😔

Yes. Feeling slightly worried. As it stands now, both venues plan to be open in June.
But who knows if that will change.
We are getting married in a Japanese Garden in a local park (special to me bc I am Japanese), which is closed through the end of this month. Haven’t heard yet if they plan to stay closed longer.

We’re planning to send ours out this week. They have been in a box since we got them unsure if we should even send them out. But they are all printed and ready to be stuffed and stamped.
I like the idea of sending the little notification card with it, perhaps I’ll do that as well.
