Couples getting married on July 3, 2020

Futuremrs.1, on August 23, 2019 at 7:22 PM Posted in Planning 3 24
Hey there date twins!! How's the wedding planning going? Are you ahead of schedule?
Right now I have a couple of things down like the venue, ceremony space and officiant, caterer, some decoration and STDs. I feel like I'm a bit behind but me and FH are working hard to get everything done!

We are making about the same progress, I think between next month and April we will get this thing in fast forward. Congrats all 7/3 Brides! May everything go our way!

How are you feeling about having a Friday wedding? The guests seem to be happy with it? I have a lot of things down but the DIY projects are taking up a lot of time!

You're so right! I chose it because we wanted it to be a Friday, after we booked everything we realized that it was seriously the perfect date since all of our important events were a 21st and if we multiply the month and day it is 21 so it feels even more right 😂 hope the planning goes amazing and can't wait more updates!

Good Morning everyone, I am getting married to the love of my life, which happens to be a female. We are on schedule with everything but a officiant that does same sex marriages and a venue that does the same. There are not many to chose from in Virginia these things are the only things that are getting in the way. I could use all the help i can get. Happy Tuesday everyone !!

Yeah..I’m trying not to freak out about it but it’s definitely hard not too. As of right now we are keeping everything as is..our venue hasn’t cancelled or postponed any weddings. I haven’t even sent out invitations I was waiting to do that in April..scary times...positive note..you found the love of your life...nothing more special than that..take everyday as it comes one day at a time..we will all get thru it!

Yeah I'm not canceling anything, still sending out invites in April because it'll be a destination wedding for his side of the family. We're prepared for a bunch of declined RSVPS because of all this but no matter what that's our date and we want to keep it even if it means just being able to have the ceremony because we have been on a long distance relationship and we're so ready to get married already!! Hopefully before July this will be over and we'll get to enjoy our special day!

It is early and everything can change in a matter of hours so for now we shouldn't freak out right? Lol kinda difficult not to when you have put so much time, effort and money planning everything and we've been counting down the days!! Really hope everything is better by then and that our day is everything we've ever wanted and more!

Anyone else’s venue not responding to them? Not sure what’s going to happen here. My wedding is supposed to be across the country. I am feeling nervous about the safety of my family traveling.

The family of the groom would have to travel from the states to the island where I live so I completely understand how you are feeling. I don't think we're going to postpone just yet, we want to wait till May to see how all this works out. I am very stressed and tense about this

So sorry you had to postpone, being honest maybe that's what I should do but I don't want to accept it just yet. I've been planning for over a year and seeing how everything crumbles is not easy but nevertheless no matter the date the important part of all this is that we're marrying the love of our lives and nothing will change that

Thanks so much. Well just to provide some context and hopefully this will help you put things into perspective too. We starting venue shopping January 2019 and landed on our wedding date and venue in April 2019. Engaged June 2018. Civil wedding March 2019. We are postponing because my husband’s family, friends and groomsmen are travelling in from Morocco, France, UK and Spain. All affected countries that currently have travel bans in place. His parents visa appointments were cancelled until further notice. Other family members and friends who were in the process of making travels let us know they won’t be able to make it. My mother, sisters and friends are medical professionals (respiratory therapists, nurses, doctors) in various hospitals in Manhattan and have all been warning me about what’s really happening with the virus. Even with all this happening I remained optimistic and argued lets wait. However, what made me throw in the towel was finding out on Monday a friend of mine age 31 year old healthy male with no préexisting conditions passed away suddenly after having a fever for three days. That’s when I realized this virus is no joke and we truly are only in the beginning stages. Even if things get better by June, I can’t bring myself to host a wedding at this time. Had my friend not been affected, husbands parents did not need a visa or to travel internationally, I would have held on. But as you can imagine, given these circumstances, I had no choice.
