How did you and your FS decide on your wedding date? Does it have special meaning to you both?

View Quoted Comment We decided a July wedding would be nice. We picked the Friday before the holiday as we hoped it would save us some money. So far I am seeing the savings with the venue and DJ.

Okay so far. I plan a little and than get busy so its nice to not worry about time yet. So far I have venue/ceremony (same place its just a hall), DJ, we just booked last weekend a planner, decorator and photo booth. Ive been dealing with cater and photographer for the last 3 months and just set it aside havent found one i like or right price. HBU?

View Quoted Comment We are doing the same thing. Ceremony and dinner/reception at the same location. I am in the same boat. Doing a little planning here and there due to a busy schedule. We both work and have kids to tend too. Not as much free time as I would like. I love planning so I'm trying to enjoy each step as I go. I created our website last night. Now I am working on how I want to do the Save the date cards. We have a strict small budget to work with so it will be a lot if DIY. Lots of planning involved so I am happy I still have a lot of time to do it.

How is everyone doing we are getting close to our wedding less then 30 daysssssss

View Quoted Comment Super excited. Trying to stay calm. Our officiant just cancelled on us today!! She just told us she has breast cancer and was still hoping to do our wedding but now needs surgery. A heads up would have been helpful. I feel horrible for her. Just bad timing.
