    Hey Alyssa Smiley smile

I love a winter wedding! There are so many ways to make the decor warm, cosy, without going into Christmas / Santa’s grotto territory!

    What are your wedding colors?

Here are some ideas I got from Pinterest Smiley smile

Our colors are burgundy and rose gold. I really love that blanket idea. My FH wanted to get blankeys for the guests but I like having them on our chairs too! I get cold easily so it would be perfect lol

Oh wow! Haha, your wedding sounds similar to mines except we're gonna do the burgundy with blush and gold and we're also considering blankets as a gift!

Haha, no worries! And, gosh, right now I don't have any centerpieces I'm still trying to sort out the floral/centerpiece situation thanks to a disaster with the florist... I wanted to do DIY but so many of the guests are traveling from out of town I'd pretty much be a one woman crew! What sorta stuff do you have in mind?

Hey Ellie! I’m not sure why I didn’t see your last response. I hate to hear your florist didnt work out. Hopefully you e found someone!! I’m doing candle wreaths as my centerpiece. Much easier and cheaper. I went to hobby lobby and got the wreaths, dollar tree for a tall vase, and hobby lobby for floating candles. Oh and twinkle lights also from hobby lobby. I’m doing decor by myself and maybe the help of a friend.

have you picked out a dress for your mother?? I have no clue on what color I want them to wear!!

You're definitely right about it being less expensive that way! And the candle wreaths and twinkling lights sound like an awesome idea to incorporate the season! I love it!

I've picked my mother's dress. She is going to be in gold with lots of sparkle! She looked so beautiful and cute in her dress! Maybe you could go with a rose gold for your mom, to compliment your color scheme. I just decided that my mom and mother in law to be could wear the accent colors of the wedding and that the bridemaids would wear the primary color (burgundy).

Our colors are burgundy and yellow. Don’t worry we arent doing a ton of yellow just a few hints here and there. (Brighten it up a bit) I named our theme “Rustic Romance.” Our secondary colors are ivory and greenery of course. We are also incorporating pine cones and some silver sparkle. Fingers crossed it doesn’t blizzard 🤞🏻

Same! We are just talking about what we need to do! It thankfully isn't a whole lot we need to do that's like "big," but we do have a lot of little things like gifts, rings, etc. What are you behind on?

That's awesome! We still have to get the rings and gifts for our party as well. The biggest thing looming over us is really creating some sort of script with the DJ/MC and selecting the music we want for our intro at the reception and first dance. Our crowd is going to be a very mixed one as far as age and culture goes so it's hard to figure out what direction to give the DJ because we want everyone to feel comfortable dancing and etc and also want to set the night up as being a fun one while not making it a trashy nightclub atmosphere.

Oh yes! So many hard decisions like that! That is on our list too, just working with our band to MC the evening!

I'm just so excited! I can't wait for it to get here!

I think the biggest is finding a florist. We have two in the running but I still feel like the price is too much for what I’m asking for
