How has your planning been coming along? Have you booked anything at this point?

Thanks! I’ll check it out. Right now I’m trying to negotiate with family for January 2nd date. Some are finding it a difficult date given it’s after Christmas. My goal is to book the venue by end of October and to book the church in January. How about you?

We are booked for 1-2-21! We originally were booked for 2-6 but switched and it didn’t change the price. I’m just going to plan to send save the dates out early so people can arrange their holiday times accordingly. Those who want to be there will come!!

We are getting married 1.2.21 also! So far we have booked the following:

- Venue

- Photographer

- Planner

- Floral

- Hair & Makeup Artists

- Bought dress

We're a little ahead of the game because I am very type A and love to plan in advance

Also wanted to add we plan to send Save The Dates about 10 months in advance, we have a lot of out of town guests and also want to give people plenty of time to plan since it's holiday season.

We are booked for 1/2/21 for sure! As for pricing it was the same since it’s on a Saturday. We are able to book the venue only for now. However we have been able to get connected to a photographer, DJ, and vendor for our wedding cake. Floral would be a gift from our mothers so we are lucky to say we got that covered. Still getting everything else planned. Haven’t decided on when to take engagement photos yet. We probably shoot for Spring 2020.

We're getting married 1/2/21 too, and I have booked the church and reception venue already, as well as picked out a dress. I have pretty much all the details worked out for everything else but some places limit how far in advance you can make reservations! Anyone planning their honeymoon yet?

We're almost to the 1 year mark!!! I cannot wait! We're getting ready to order Save the Dates, just finishing up the guest list & getting all addresses.

We just ordered save the dates and picked out some decor. The venue is booked and we have meetings with a bunch of photographers next week. It actually feels like everything is coming together and going to be okay! I'm so excited to pick up my dress but it won't be in until March!

No am getting married this year 2020 May ,16.

We are getting married 1/2/2021 as well! We just got engaged last month and I have always wanted a winter wedding we have the venue booked and meeting with a photographer on Sunday!

Hi! Also getting married 1/2/21! So far we have had no price issues. Our venue was actually more flexible and told us as long as there is no event on New Year’s Day, that we can have our rehearsal at any time in the day on 1/1. So far it’s been good!

Hi everyone! Just curious, what kind of food/beverage minimums did you sign up for with your venues? We’re going to look at venues next weekend, and some places said they have negotiable minimums since it’s January and not a peak time, but I’m seeing so many averages online that I’m confused lol. I just want to go in prepared to negotiate and not get taken advantage of!

View Quoted Comment Mine is $3000 minimum but it’s also a pretty small space compared to some. The max is 75 people, we’re having 62. I wouldn’t worry too much, most people are understanding that they need to do what they can to get customers in the off season and will probably already be offering discounted rates

Hello Everyone! My fiance and I have booked our venue for 1/2/21! The prices were inflated by about an extra $100 but it was still reasonably within our budget. We have already decided about 200 guests, colors palette, and the type of dessert table we want. Other than that we have not made decisions on anything else but we do need to take engagement pics probably in March to send save the dates sooner as my fiance family is from the Philippines so they need time on advance to join us.

Hi yall!!! Got engaged on christmas eve and we decided on 1.2.21!!

So far we have booked:

venue, photographer, dj, found my dress, honeymoon!

We have all our vendors, menu picked, invitations, favors, and decor ordered, all we have left is to finish paying everyone and having our cake tasting. Better to get it done so you don’t have to stress about the details all summer or during the holidays
