Couples getting married on February 29, 2020

Johnnica, on August 17, 2019 at 6:27 PM Posted in Planning 3 9
We are getting married Feb 29th 2020 and most venues we look at are very expensive to have us include achocol. Not sure if we should pick a cheap place and just have no adult drinks or elope?

Is it possible to have a guest paid bar instead of a host bar at any of these venues? That way the guests who would like to drink have the option, but it's not costing you a ton. Not sure if that's something you'd be interested in but just thought I'd throw it out there!

In making this decision, I would definitely recommend you and your FS sit down and figure out how many guests you would like to invite and create a budget. Using this budget, you can get pricing from different venues and see if having an open bar is within your budget. If not, you could look into alternatives such as eloping, etc.

How many guests are you planning on inviting?

Hi date twin! Could you look at non-inclusive venues? They're usually less expensive since you have to do all the research and contract the vendors out yourself, but I think it's worth it since you can pick and choose who you want! We're not having alcohol since our venue is in a dry county, but I know a lot of people buy their own alcohol from Costco or Sams and bring it to the venue. You'd just need a licensed bartender that way.

We are doing wine/beer open bar but cocktails/spirits are on you. It cut our bar cost in more than half!

Pick a place that gives you the most bag for your buck. Cash bar. You don’t need to pick up people’s drinks, just the food!!

We aren't doing alcohol. To many alcoholics in both families and we just don't want drama.

I'm in the same boat.. Have you had any feedback from guests about it? I didn't announce that we aren't providing alcohol, but I'm wondering if I should?
