Couples typically start looking for a venue 10 to 12 months out from their wedding date. Of course you could always start researching and browsing different venues right now, however, you may find many venues won’t accept bookings for 2022 weddings until closer to the time!

Have you started to think about a color scheme and theme?

Thank you very much! I've been looking on the online venues although i know the prices can change over time but i'm estimating how much its all gonna be and figuring out who's getting an invite. yes i have my colors picked out i don't have a theme though but i'm staying away from the rustic look i'm not really into it.

That's a great plan Working on a guest list and budget is the best place to start!

Congratulations on your engagement!!! I have also started researching already and have even talked to vendors and venues. We planned a long engagement because we are paying for everything out of pocket and looking at a 20,000+ wedding. We are planning to pay for things as we go. We have already selected our venue but haven't booked it yet. We are however taking our tour in April and hopefully putting our deposit down and booking our day soon after... GOOD LUCK!!!!!

We started looking early this spring into ideas we would be interested in. We ended up booking out venue this past week for next year as many of them are booking quick... I would deff make a list for what you are looking for and if you want to do any of your decorating or bring your own vendors as we found it hard to find the right one that did.
