Hi! We picked 8/6/2020 for the same reasons! It’s so much cheaper to rent our venue on a Thursday vs a weekend date. We are also on summer break for school and found August to work best with our schedules.

How is everyone doing with wedding plans during this outbreak? So far I have not changed anything and I’m hoping this will all slow down in the next few months!!

View Quoted Comment I haven't changed anything either. My venue contacted us and said at this time, we do not need to postpone our August wedding. I'm hoping this is all over really soon

I’m literally in such a hard spot right now, the last few days have been so much to bare. We are set for our wedding 8/6/2020 and will be traveling to upstate NY where the cases are low and somewhat under control. We have lowered our guest count to 35 people and we have been told that our plans remain the same with distancing enforced but masks not necessary due to such an open indoor/outdoor space that can normally fit 300 people. I have everything done, vendors are on board and it’s ready to go. 5 of 8 bridesmaids are committed to coming as well as my parents and 7 of 8 of my fiancé’s groomsmen will attend as well. Overall, we have our immediate family, best friends and each other. It’s all set and ready to go! My stomach is in knots, part of me feels like we should postpone to air on the side of caution and maybe 2021 will be better. But then I’m like- omg we picked a location that means the world to us, the cases are so low in that area, it’s open, we can have all of our plans... maybe I should just take it as a sliver of luck?? Just go for it?? I don’t know what to do and it’s only a few weeks away! Help! What have you guys decided?
