Thank you! And no. Not right at this second. I slowed down with my planning just to get my footing back. I have children so I felt like I needed to refocus a bit. I have a long time to plan still.

Also getting married 08/13/21! Feeling a bit less stressed after taking a break for a couple of months to reassess what my FH & I want to do and not what our parents want. We are sacrificing a formal wedding in order to have much family and friends as we can by going with a more a non traditional party instead. Even if we have 50 or 200 people we will still be happy. Currently trying to find my dress to say yes to. Good luck to you in your planning!

I’m a new 8/13/21 bride - we rescheduled from 8/15/20 (due to covid). I’m excited to share this lucky Friday the 13th with you all!

Are you worried about bad luck? March and August 13th was the only available dates left for our perfect venue. We are taking deposit tomorrow morning. There may be a cancellation for May 7th but otherwise we have to take the 13th.

No. I'm not.

13 is my lucky number. My fiance is Greek and the number is also good luck to them. We also looked into the type of moon, and the way the planets align (for people who believe in that stuff. I necessarily don't) and all of them are good.

Also 8+13 = 21 (8-13-2021).

We got engaged on 8-21-2019.

I love horror movies and Friday the 13th is one of my favorites.

Friday's costs of weddings and everything needed are considerably cheaper than a saturday.

Superstition is dumb, to me.

Its so tough with everyone wanting you to do what THEY think you should do. We have also had so much unsolicited advice, and just people thinking we should do this or that cuz it's SOOOO much cheaper. It almost makes me feel as though they're insulting us thinking we don't deserve to have a beautiful day, with their 'ideas'. Frustrating!!! It sounds as if your wedding will be perfect and just the way you want it to be. Congrats to you as well and good luck with the hunt for your dress! It's such an exciting time!

Fellow 8/13/21 bride, just wondering if anyone who is currently planning worried about the possibility of rescheduling? Things seem to be changing so often I am worried about having to reschedule due to how much will need to be paid up front for the wedding venue.
