    Hey Nickey!

I’m so happy you’re looking for your date twins Smiley smile I’m sure they are on the way!

How did you and your FS choose your wedding date? Does it have special meaning for you?

We literally picked a month in off peak season only because we were a little selfish of wanting to be the only wedding at any given venue and because we couldn't pick a number, we actually took a poll on facebook. No one new what it was for, it was just pick a number with 4 different numbers (4 Sundays in the month of April) , and at the end of the time line for the poll, the reason was given. So it didn't have any particular meeting, but we did want it close to our "boyfriend/girlfriend" date which is the end of march. Believe it or not, he is better at the whole memory date thing than I am!

Hi date twin! I’ve been engaged for almost 6 months and went a good bit crazy wedding planning so we have A LOT done so far. We chose April 26th because we always wanted to get married in April and wanted it as close to our half year anniversary (10/24) as possible. We liked our venue and they had better options of time/ room/ prices for Sunday weddings so we picked 4/26. My Fh and I were planning our wedding before getting engaged also (we’ll be together 7 years this October). So far we have: budget, venue, officiant, dj, florist, photographer, caterer, decor, linens etc, ceremony music, wedding party, color scheme, WP gifts, e photos, STDs, rings, HMUA booked, my dress & veil, hotel for us, hotel blocks, bar, and transportation done. Next up will be my shoes, WP: groom attire, and alterations. We have our invitations picked out, just not sent out yet.

I should add that I have to take a train 3 hours a day, 3 days a week for my internship so I had 18hours a week I could dedicate to wedding planning

Holy smokes! you guys are on it! and I thought I was making progress. hmm, With Travis, I never feel rushed. He has been my best friend for 13 yeas and we've been together for 6.5 years. I know all the small details will come. Wedding planning gets tricky for me. I am a Manager at a dealership, a mommy at home. Hardly any quiet time unless the boys are at soccer or softball practice. Time of day doesn't allow me to make those. But it does give me about 1.5 to 2 hours of me time! (:

I like the season of late April, early May. It's also cheaper to have a Sunday wedding! LOL

    Hi Nicole,

As time begins to wind down I figured I would start communicating with others who share the same date as I do. It turns out I have over 2000 brides who share the same date (holy smokes). Planning is coming along really great. How we chose our date is pretty interesting. We actually went from destination wedding to eloping then somehow ended at a wedding again. Much like you we chose a date that was "off season" and a Sunday because it is significantly more affordable. There were several other perks to choosing this particular date, discounts apply for choosing a Sunday and only one wedding is held at our venue on Sunday's

Super excited for the day tp arrive, how is your planning going?
